they most DEFINITELY were looking at Aqib Talib. The guy is legit. In mockdrafts he is going anywhere from 20th overall to 40th. The great thing about this draft is the depth at cornerback.

Mike Jenkins, Malcolm Jenkins, Leodis Mclkevin, Aqib Talib, Antoine Cason, Tracy Porter, and Trae Williams can all go in the first two rounds.

Talib and Cason are borderline right now and definitely can be there with our 32nd pick. Talib's big game combined with a great combine could put him out of our reach. New Orleans or Dallas with their second pick will definitely be looking at him. I hope he makes it to our pick.

Imagine getting Glenn Dorsey/Vernon Gholston, Aqib Talib, rucker/davis, and beau bell with our first four picks!!! You would add a stud dlineman, stud corner, stud middle linebacker, and stud tight end. Our team would be lookin RIGHHT.

 

Gholston is a DE/OLB

 

I would hope that Bill and Jeff would be in attendance if two of the top eight college teams in the country were playing in their own stadium.

If we were to work the trade down with Dallas, I could see us using one of those late-first picks on Talib. Not only does he has strong coverage and ball skills, but he is a big corner at 6'2". Unless he runs a 4.6 at the combine, I don't think a guy like that will last to #32.

Talib might be gone before we pick at 32 but that'll push someone else down...there're plenty of good corners this year and we should get a good one at 32 if we want to.

I just dont see anyway he slips to us at #32. There are too many teams that need corners and i've got him as the third best corner behind mike and malcom jenkins and ahead of cason. He pretty much solidified himself as a first round pick last night.

 

do we still go after a FA CB as well?
