Bills signed DT Kyle Williams to a three-year, $14.5 million extension through 2012, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter. $5.7 million is guaranteed. Williams has played strictly nose tackle in coordinator Perry Fewell's Tampa 2 since being drafted in '05, but worked as a three technique during OTAs. We doubt he'll win that job over John McCargo and Spencer Johnson, but should remain a key rotational piece. Rotoworld.com
I think it is kind of scary what Buffalo are doing on D. Do you think that they will show any 3-4 with him at NT, as well as have him back up the tackle spots?
I'm not sure. They acquired Marcus Stroud and I think they will try to keep him on the field as much as possible so the 34 defense would be very limited imo. Stroud has played in a 43 defense in JAX. He's a pretty good player and I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up starting alongside Stroud.
I forgot Stroud. That is 4 pretty decent DT's to rotate with on which is fast becoming a premier Defense. I think we beat them once this season, but after that who knows when we beat them again?
I don't know. They still have questions in the secondary who were ranked 29th last year against the pass. They also have questions on the defensive line. Stroud has had trouble staying healthy and remember, he was suspended last year for steroids so you never know if he does it again. They were ranked 29th in the rushing defense.
Yeah, I agree that they will be good two to three years from now. I thought we were discussing how they currently stand and this upcoming season lol. I think they will be a very good team in a couple years if their QB, whomever it may be, plays good.
