http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8088482/Bills-to-be-paid-$78M-to-play-in-Toronto BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - The Buffalo Bills will receive $78 million — more than double their calculated 2006 operating income — to play eight games in Toronto over the next five years. preseason match at Toronto on Aug. 14, followed by a regular-season game against Miami on Dec. 7. Rogers spokeswoman Jan Innes would not comment beyond the one-paragraph statement included in the company report, except to say the $78 million figure was in Canadian currency. The Canadian dollar hovered around par to its U.S. counterpart during the first quarter this year. Innes declined to say whether any portion of the payment has been made to the Bills.
well with all the tickets being offered first to bill's season ticketholders, and given the amount of toronto fans in the area who are potentially toronto argo's season ticketholders who get first crack too, then not to mention all the fans in the toronto area that are bills fans, I think they will still have a bit of a homefield advantage when it comes to crowd support. but its hard to disagree about everything else regarding this game definately evening out the odds in our favor a bit.. not that we need it though!
I love you Clump, but this is HYSTERICAL... Only a matter of time before ALL the Jills games are North of the border.
It's not that far for them. The Bills will surely take buses to the game. It'll be a home game for them. They'll have plenty of fans. I wonder if there will be any Ricky effect in Toronto whatsoever.
One huge issue bro. With the onset of Homeland Security, everybody crossing the border needs a passport. Even if it is just to go across to see the falls. Might be a small issue, but how many people in here actually have a valid passport to date? The waiting line for one is approx 6-9 months at the moment, and it is nearly 100.00
HIGH PRICES FOR BILLS TICKETS IN TORONTO http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/05/08/high-prices-for-bills-tickets-in-toronto/
Going to Toronto to watch the Dolphins? Get a load of this … The Canadian dollar isn’t weaker than ours anymore, but ticket prices for the Dec. 7 game between the Dolphins and Bills in Toronto sure make it appear that way. Sideline seats from the end zone to the 20-yard lines in the Rogers Centre will cost $295. That’s U.S., not Expos-era Canadian. Sitting between the 20-yard lines will cost more than $300, but those prices won’t be revealed until May 12. Those seats come with VIP amenities. To fork over that kind of dough, Bruce Smith would have to be my personal beer vendor. The average ticket price will be $183, not counting the yet-unannounced rate for the roughly 14,000 prime seats link http://www.palmbeachpost.com/blogs/...ch_the.html?cxntfid=blogs_inside_the_dolphins
