I just made a simple statement that I've never thought we've had a really great defense, I really can't think of one impactful great linebacker next to Zach that played on 2000's defenses..safeties were average at best..so while their offense didn't offer much, they were still flawed imo at linebacker and safety..anything before that wasn't great either..

We were 5-1 after that game. Chambers got knocked out by Kenoy Kennedy, but only missed one more game. Fiedler missed the next 6 games, and we went 2-4 with Lucas at QB. Then Fiedler came back and we went 2-2 with him to end the season. The 15th game up in Minnesota was the one where formerly glue handed Cris Carter dropped what should have been a routine catch for him, in the end zone, and we lost by 3. Nails tore his Achilles that game and was never the same again. The last game was a 3 point OT loss in NE to knock us out of going to the playoffs.

To be fair, the year he gained 1116, he averaged 3.6. The next year he gained only 892 and averaged 3.2 a carry.
