I was introduced to Johnny via Stevie Ray Vaughan on his Live in Montreux DVD 1982 & 1985. Johnny was awesome with Stevie. I just got Texas Twister tonight by Johnny, and it is great music with Johnny on vocals, and guitar. Has some really great sound. My wife asked me is this the blues? I said yes. She said I love that. She is a country gal. I highly recommend this, and give it 5 stars without a doubt. May Johnny rest in peace. His daughter is blues singer Shemekia Copeland. Stevie Ray played on Don't stop by the creek son. I love Johnny Clyde Copeland. Black Cat Bone is awesome. I saw him live in Gainesville in the mid 80's in a bar. It was a great show. I also went home with a nice blonde I met at that show so that just adds to the memory
My love for his spirit is not in question here. I had a personal experiance the morning I watched MTV and heard of his demise.
I do. It's hard thou. We all know he was taken from us too soon and I still get goosebumps when I hear certain songs. He was such a special man whose music could envoke strong emotions imo.
