I love them both, but I prefer Neil Young's albums. Bob Dylan is a legend that changed the face of rock n roll music. He influenced everyone from the Beatles to the Stones to, well, Neil Young. I've got and enjoy nearly all of Dylan's records. I've got and enjoy nearly all of Neil's records. But for some reason, I'd rather listen to Neil most of the time. Bob gets to heady for me sometimes. This may sound goofy, but Neil speaks to me like no one else. For further reading, please see: http://www.thrasherswheat.org/jammin/dylan.htm
Bob Dylan, no contest. I've seen Bob Dylan 13 times, and I will continue to go to every show he plays near me. It is an experience like no other.
I've seen Dylan 4 times. I've seen Neil 4 times. Only once have I walked away from a Dylan show absolutely blown away. I was blown away all four times I saw Neil. But I'm not going to judge them based on their ability to put on great performances after turning 60. That was not part of my decision.
I prefer Dylan's voice but overall I had to give the nod to Neil Young. I'll forgive him for "Southern Man".
I love Southern Man. One of my favorite songs from Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. I also love "Teach your Children" as a sentimental song since I love kids.
Dylan is philosophical, in a poet kind of way. Young gets you pissed off. I dont know which one to choose
