I know Carpenter was on the Rams for about five minutes, but how does someone who covers the Rams report Carpenter’s release before anyone else?

    But if true, good riddance.

Howard Balzer is legit. Been around forever.

He's in St. Louis now (Carpenter's previous stop).

Howard Balzer is a legitimate beat writer. Used to work for ESPN, now covers the Rams. Just odd that he would have this before the Dolphins beat writers.

Someone who doesn’t suck on special teams, I hope. Carpenter was just a fill-in for Crowder anyway.

    What?

He did keep Adrian Peterson out of the endzone in MN..they would have won the game if not for Carpenter's stuff.

Bottom line is, too many mistakes on Special Teams, if Bono was fired for performance, so should Carpenter be fired..and he was.

Well CC is back and played the whole game and seemingly wasn't the worse for wear , so I am sure that played into this as well.

_______ _______ come down , you are the next Miami Dolphin player !

Anybody can rag on him but he was a MAJOR reason we are not 2-3 right now with that huge tackle on Peterson in Minnesota inside the five yard line.

EDIT: Just saw Pads say practically the same thing so I am glad I am not the only one.

He was in there on the stop, yes, but there's always a big what if game to be played around a specific scenario like that. Considering that Carpenters special teams play led directly to three blocked kicks, I'd say he came out way below average overall, and deserves the ragging.

Austin Spitler should be his replacement in the lineup, who knows what practice squadder they'll bring up to the roster.

I wasn't justifying keeping him but just acknowledging what he did for us instead of just ragging on him, but go nuts man.

Awesome news. I was afraid of another Reggie Howard situation. A crappy player who sticks around.

    Yes!! Thank heavens.

I love how people bring up that goal line stop like he played OK at ILB. he didn't move a single inch, Peterson literally ran straight into him. He did good for not letting him run through but let's not act like he made a great play or anything.

That is so stupid. I am sick of people taking away someone's good play by some lame explaination.

He did play pretty decent against the Vikings and played really well against the Bills.

Preventing a TD and allowing another (****ty coverage on the kickoff by Tate) cancel each other out. He sucked on ST on other plays too so him getting the boot isn't a bad thing.

Neither is pointing out the good things he has done which I was only doing. Never said I was against this move nor am I.

I think I am going to head back to the Club before a third person annoyingly assumes what I was advocating.
