Just heard on www.theticket.com That Dwayne Bowe will miss 4 games for testing positive to steroids. Discuss
Thanks D Bowe, you just officially killed my fantasy team. And here I thought only baseball players took steroids.
Looks like I will be listening to 810 on the way home. Schefter's take, FWIW: EDIT: It's not like the Chiefs were going any where this year, anyway. It also explains why they put in a bid on Chris Chambers ... they knew this suspension was coming and wanted a big target for the time that Bowe was slated to miss. Man that team is just in turmoil. I live in the area and it's tough being a Chiefs fan right now.
I'll give Bowe the benefit of the doubt in this case. I know he came into camp fat and out of shape ... he could have been using it to try and quickly drop weight. If you remember Bowe promptly landing himself in the doghouse as a result of being unconditioned. He was even demoted to like third string when the first official depth chart came out.
Just thinking out loud here, but this suspension also may be why you didn't see Bowe moved before the trading deadline last month ... no one's going to trade for a WR that has to serve a 4 game suspension before suiting up for them. I don't see Bowe in a Chiefs uniform come the offseason though, just a hunch.
yeah i don't buy that. unless the nfl keeps the list of banned substances under lock and key there is no excuse.
I still take him. This is the NFL, not MLB. steroids ain't that much of an issue In two games Chris chambers on pace for over 1000 yards
Well, I'm not thrilled with the use of a diuretic as it just shows laziness on his part, he took it to drop weight for Haley's first training camp, he should have been more prepared than that for the New Head Coach. Don't know if he is traded simply because whether Haley survives in KC is also an unknown, the GM will stay a 2-14 season is hard to explain away though.
Well they still remember the days of Okoye, Montana, and DT. As well as recently with Vermeil. They never won a Super Bowl but they were always competitive.
I know Dwayne Bowe personally. He was a few classes ahead of me at Norland, but he rolled with my big brother. I'm going to answer the thread title simple and leave it at that: No.
