Philbin talked to interim head coach Todd Bowles Sunday and the message didn't exactly suggest the new coach is eager to retain Bowles. In fact, a source close to Bowles just told me he doesn't think the club's secondary/assistant head coach/interim head coach will return to the Dolphins.

    * Second, the coaching search: Philbin is wasting little time in assembling a staff, though only a couple names have leaked out so far. ESPN reports that Philbin has interviewed Andy Heck, formerly the Jaguars’ offensive line coach for the past eight seasons, for the same job. And NFL Network says Bengals defensive backs coach Kevin Coyle is on the Dolphins’ radar for defensive coordinator.

From what I’ve been told, I expect the Dolphins to target the Packers’ defensive coaches – assistant head coach Winston Moss (if he doesn’t get the Raiders head coaching job), safeties coach Darren Perry and defensive line coach Mike Trgovac. For offensive coordinator, Mike Sherman is the likely front-runner if he doesn’t get the Bucs’ head coaching job. He and Philbin go back more than 30 years, when Sherman was Philbin’s coach and English teacher at Worcester (Mass.) Academy.

Not really all that surprising but does kinda put a hitch in the Bowles would be forced on new coach story. OL+WR coaches look to be gone too.

this is a good thing I disliked the oline and wr 's coach since Paul Bordaueux and Mike Westoff were fired.

I always like wr coach Robert Ford i still dont know why he was fired. the coach I wish we would bring back is Randy Shannon .

I think that was more on Dave Fipp tbh, Rizzi was tight with Sparano, so when the ax falls, Wednesday or Thursday, do not be surprised.

As for the staff, I on't like the rumored hires outside of Sherman, and that is discounting Heck not coming of course, looks like a young staff and Jrgovic was a 4-3 guy in Carolina, not saying he cannot run the 3-4, am saying it would not surprise me if we did not.

Long way to go though so, wait and see.

Say what you will about the tenants of National Socialism, at least it was an ethos.

    They were Nazis Dude?

Oh, come on Donny, they were threatening castration! Are we gonna split hairs here? Am I wrong?

Never had an OL coach named "Paul Bordaueux". Perhaps you are thinking of Paul Boudreau? Why would the firing of Westoff have any bearing on your opinions of any of the WRs coaches, past or present?

Funny how people can read trash articles and get an idea in their head and stick to it even when the articles and the idea itself are proven completely false.
