Brandon London will be back next season http://www.palmbeachpost.com/blogs/...hhhhhh.html?cxntfid=blogs_inside_the_dolphins Tuna: "My intention is to do what I've been doing.'' http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...y-intention-is-to-do-what-ive-been-doing.html Dolphins owner Stephen M. Ross, a hard hitter in business, fulfills dream http://www.palmbeachpost.com/dolphi...profile_0125.html?cxtype=rss&cxsvc=7&cxcat=46
I believe London should get every opportunity to prove himself as that piece we're missing on the offense. I thought he played with the same fire and passion and Cobbs and would love to see what he could do lined up as a #2 or 3 receiver in a couple packages. Not meaning to supplant Camarillo or Bess but in a couple sub-packages or in 4 and 5 wide sets.
That Ross article makes me feel a lot better about him. He's got a passion for life and the game of football. And after reading his letter to the fans, I know he's dedicated to making the Dolphins a consistent winner. That was a great read.
I'm glad we will get to see London have more opportunity. I think if given the shot to be an outside WR, that were missing, I think he could develop to be that guy. That would be fantastic.
confidence was his prob at first right out of college... but he wanted to start right away, and realised he has to work hard for it. realised with the giants, and has been working hard since then and since waived and signed by us..... this kid has great awareness and uses his body very well to get the ball.
Good news about Brandon London, but what about the contract situation from Davone Bess? How long is he under contract?
4/28/2008: Signed a two-year, $687,000 contract. The deal included a $7,000 signing bonus. 2009: $385,000, 2010: Exclusive Rights Free Agent http://www.rotoworld.com/Content/playerpages/player_contract.aspx?sport=NFL&id=4636
League minimum isn't too bad, especially when you're afraid if you'll even be on a team. Congrats to him. Hope they have to tear up that contract, which means he's so damn good they'll sign him to a multi-milly extension.
What this would allow, would be to have Cobb on the field and not have to change personnel to get to a 3 or 4 wide set...or with Bess and London, in addition to Cam and Ginn, Cobb can move in and out of the backfield to have a 5 wide set... Could be interesting...
This is why i sometimes don't like to listen to the radio cuzz this is all 3 days old news for me, and 90% of the time what i see on line is days old as well. I hate you wqam lol
Thanks for the post, that is good news for London. Glad to see he will be back I think he could be a pretty good wr over time.
I dont know why we didnt use London more often. He is called a "project" but when I see some of the catches he made during the year, he didnt look like a project. We should have used him in the red zone more often as a jump ball threat. He is huge.
To me, he was this season's Greg Camarillo. On the sidelines during the playoff clinching Jets game, in response to the NY fans saying "J-E-T-S" jets jets jets he was saying D-O-N-E..done done done.. I'm a bit surprised we signed him semi long term though, he was a street FA pick up, he caught a couple of balls but I am glad he is coming back with us.
