Yeah he's a good player and if we were in a situation where we were contending for the division (or even a wildcard), I'd be up for trading for him. However we're in no situation to be sending picks away right now.

 

The issue with him has always been his mouth and his work ethic. Wherever he's been, he's had that problem. As talented as he is, I say pass.

There are a lot of teams that would be smart to trade for him, I think Houston should think about it. The Ravens maybe, a team that is good right now and needs some help could do a lot worse than Lloyd for 4th or 5th round pick, the guy is a very good player right now.

 

Denver has decker breaking out and royal and demaryus Thomas coming back from injuries. It's a good move for them to sell high on a player who had done nothing before arriving in denver

 

Rarely works like that killahp, fmr Coaches grow more mellow as time rolls along and as they leave the grind behind, working 20 hr days vs a couple of hours once a week on a set of a show makes that happen.

As for Lloyd, I think he would be good value, but when you are 0-4 you need guys who are already knowledgable in the systems you are using as even the smallest mistake or missed opportunity can cost you the much needed win, so I'd pass on Lloyd.

I hate to say it but perhaps the Jets would be a good fit for him. There just isnt any room here for someone who is 30 and will cost the fins mid-round picks...

Pads, this is what I've been saying about Cowher. Living the easy life, does he have the fire to work these long hours again.

 

Gruden's actually the type that would enjoy having someone like Brandon Lloyd. He could play an Antonio Bryant role for him and give Miami a little more dynamic threat down the field.

 

If the Dolphins had a chance for the playoffs, a trade for Lloyd would make sense. They have absolutely no chance of making the playoffs this season and will be lucky to win three games. So I would much rather let the new GM and Head Coach have all the draft picks they can have available to them, when the 2012 draft comes around.

 

as much as i am not a fan of cowher, are you serious? Tomlin has won with Cowhers team. Tomlin has added a few pieces to this team but Cowher built the steelers. Tomlin walked into a great situation (a SB team) with his team set at QB and a top defense.

 

I don't know what's going on with Lloyd, but no, we aren't taking psycho Marshall back. Lloyd is turning into a bit of a primadonna as well like Marshall did. Maybe it's the shared first name?!

The guy's 30, essentially playing on a 3 month rental basis until you give him a huge deal he likely doesn't merit and had a single good season. No one was going to cough up a 3rd or 4th, anyway.

Losing Lloyd in free agency should get a team a 4th round compensatory pick.

 

Or no compensatory pick at all if the team happens to sign a big name or two in FA. I'd rather take the 5th right now than the 4th I might not get.
