What a horrible, horrible game by what should have been the biggest game by the best player on the team.
Thigpen gets so much blame with little reps. He needed the players around him to step it up.
This was the type of game that Miami paid Marshall the big bucks for. Not only did he not play well, he actually played horribly. He dropped passes and then he got stupid penalties.
Blame Thigpen all you want, however this was the game that Marshall should have earned his money.

I cant fault the team for taking the chance on Marshall. We desperately need a playmaker. He knows that and uses it as leverage to do whatever he wants. But clearly some discipline needs to be assessed. One time, you get a slap on the wrist and dont do it again. Second time, you have a problem and letting emotions interfere with your work. I hope they dont tolerate this kind of behavior. That isnt what I want to see from my team.

I think Brandon marshall really does believe in Chad Henne. I doubt Henne kept him in check mentally or anything but Marshalls antics didnt start until after we benched henne.
and on the opposite end of the spectrum, marshall probably thinks Thigpen is a joke. And lets face it, he sure looked like one. -

are you asking for a public apology? an apology to the team? or to the fans?

I wish we could get back the two second round picks we gave up for Marshall. All he does is drop passes. It looks like he is totally un-interested in playing. At least Hartline and Bess aren't faking it.

Also, he hurt himself doing a ridiculous spin move in an effort to make a play and gain just a few more yards.
Diva? Yeah, he is. But he certainly doesn't give up on plays or stop trying like Moss or anything.dolfan32323 likes this. -
A great wide receiver would have taken that up as a challenge. -

Wins bring stability throughout, like all the great receivers in the game today, if they arent winning and catching TD's they arent happy. TO, Ochocinco, moss, etc etc The guy is playing on a BS team right now and he is starting to show how displeased he is. Is he acting like a *****? YES... IS he losing us games no... He is the playmaker we need and we need to find a way to get the man the dam ball. 10 catches for 166 yards and a td against the Jets week 3. Jets Defense is pretty good, 5 catches 57 yards not bad against the dam steelers... He needs the dam ball, the offense needs to move the ball we got 3 exceptional receivers no need to check down every f*cking play. Wheter its checkdown chad or henne or thigpen. This offense is ****e! I would be angry too.
For the record im pissed he quit tonight too though. -

For Miami to win they needed their big stars to step it up. Marshall is their number one big star. He did not step it up. Even though he was injured at the end of the first half, his play up to then was not worth 2 second round picks or the money they paid him. -
-
Marshall is a diva wr, he plays as good as his Qb. He definitely did not play well tonight but Thigpen being a terrible QB probably ruined his psyche entirely. -
He's dropping way too many passes. Easy catches they are too.
He played like crap tonight with the drops. However, the toss to Cutler didn't deserve a flag. It was obvious they were messing with each other. Even after the game they were chatting it up. Cutler and Marshall are competitive. They talk a little smack to each other. They do have a history.
I don't think Marshall quit. I think he needs to get focused. However, this is the 4th QB he's been catching passes from in 3 years. It takes time for WR's to get used to not only the QB throwing them the ball, but the offense they are in. This was only his 10th game with 3 different QB's and a new offense. That's got to count for something.CitizenSnips and unluckyluciano like this. -

this game was just dissapointing really

It wasn't Marshall or Thigpen.
Injuries....injuries...injuries. -
He is what he is. -
-
If what you said was true then Miami made a huge mistake in trading and paying Marshall. -
-
But you're wrong about Thigpen. He may be a 3rd qb but this was his 12th nfl start and there was almost no glimpses that he's ever taken a snap in a big game before. -

So if we have a team that when healthy has a pass oriented OL, three WR options, and a good if slow TE, can we finally finally finally admit we're a passing team? PLEASE....
****. This charade of being a running team is over. Ricky is almost done, Ronnie is done. We have no one worth much as far as running the ball after that. At least we have a defense for now. There's hope though, I think next year we can become one of the best passing teams in the league if Henne improves just a bit even and the coaching staff changes. Perhaps use the 2003-2004 Patriots as an example. We might not have Brady, but we can have a better offensive line and somewhat better running game.
