http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...lug=ap-heat-mourningretires&prov=ap&type=lgns He will be greatly missed. One of my favorite Heat players ever. His jersey will definitely be retired. You have earned it Zo after all you went through in your career.
even in his last year, he was still one of the top 5 centers in the league. my all time favorite heat and nba player. may he have a wonderful retirement.
Always liked the guy, dating back to his Hornets years. He, Larry Johnson and Muggsy Bogues were a fun trio to watch.
He was a great player. I had the privilege of seeing him play live when he was with the Charlotte Hornets. He was a class act and always gave it his all for his team.
I hate the guy. WHen he was traded to Toronto, he refused to play. Then he goes to MIA and gets a ring. F him!!
I'm a Raptor fan, and have every right to feel that way. He's a pompous, selfish, and self centred prima donna a##. How would you feel about the guy if he did that to YOUR team? nice....
his bball career was on an unusually short leash due to his kidney problem, and miami, the team he launched into a star with, wanted him to come back and win a championship. he tired in nj, but they werent committed and toronto didnt really want him and they were rebuilding. its only fitting zo would win a ring in miami.
....I always liked Zo....wish him the best in his retirement...I wasn't sure what his "status" was with the Heat was but, I was just thinking(a couple weeks back) he would be perfect coming of the bench to help shore up my Lakers defense...
He is not. you guys got him to be cap filler. you were gonna buy him out anyway. insulting a man that just happens to be the hardest working and most generous athlete in miami Sports history says more about you than him.
Toronto wanted him guys, trust me. Even though we may have bough him out, or what not, we still wanted him to play that one year, until we traded or bought him out. Who wouldn't want Zo to play? He refused to play, and that is why I dislike him, and my opinion is my opinion. Section, does the fact that I hate OJ Simpson, as great as he was on the field, speak volumes about my character as well? Just because someone is great, and I call him selfish or whatever, says nothing concrete about my character. He was selfish in Toronto, enough said. Anyways, have fun judging people like that, and think of me however you wish.
ZO doesn;t deserve that tone E. He has earned respect. Toronto was rebuilding. they had no use for him other than he was an expiring contract and he was needed to balance the deal for VC.
