Currently on the front page of ESPN.com:

I said in the other thread just a few minutes ago that the Miami stuff wasn't real and he is Atlanta bound. Guess I was wrong. lol.

 

Weird how quick things can change.

 

Wow I thought Atlanta was a done deal.

 

The way some of the fans and players continue to support Michael Vick I'd say run, don't walk from Atlanta.

I just don't like this at all... There is no hope for progression next year if the deal goes through... It will take another 2 years before this team is decent and I believe that we could be there alot sooner without him... And to be bold about it, if Parcells is hired as the GM... I don't see us in the playoffs til 2010 at the earliest...

According to reports, Bill Parcells will not be the GM. He will oversee the football operations and will hire a GM, but he will not be the GM himself. Chris Mortensen said that Bill Parcells does not want to be a GM or a HC. He just wants to oversee the football operations.

Basically, it seems to be a situation where Bill Parcells will set up the structure of the scouting department and hire a general manager to do the general manager work within the organization. The offer will probably give Bill Parcells the authority to hire and fire the head coach as well.

 

Parcells has conections to Cam thru Bobby Knight, heard it somewhere

 

that is exactly what this franchise has needed for years.

while he has always had good intentions, huizenga has little to no knowledge of the NFL

parcells would have us competitive in a year or two.

 

Great news apparently Miami wanted him as a GM but revised their offer to make him VP of operations.

 

I'm surprised the Falcons went with him 1st....what ever team takes him as a head coach better have the replacement ready in a few years....unless the team he is coaching tanks his 1st year, then Bye bye :wave:

WOW! He never did say YES just this:

IMO I'm thinking that maybe Parcells used the Falcons as leveredge to get the Dolphins to sweeten their deal because he wanted to really be here instead of Atlanta. Huizienga knew that if he were to sell the team faster that he would have to change the front office and hire Parcells as a " markie " name because of Parcells reputation and history of success.

I think it's a good move to get Parcells though !

 

No he(fininthemoon) does not want him(BP) cleaning house after one year I believe.

 

I wonder id Bryan from Ohio is alright, he might hurt himself if Parcells comes to Miami!

 

If he comes to Miami it will make this off-season a success already and with him running things they will be contending in a few seasons.

 

This could possily mean Mueller and Cam are also goners.
