Well maybe this will end all of the Packers/Favre drama thus far.

I'd buy if it wasn't the TAMPA TRIBUNE.

Don't believe everything the press throws out there, lets not forget some of the articles the Milwaukee Journal said.

So Jon Gruden still doesn't have enough QB's on his TC roster already?

The Packers are getting so much publicity about this stupid Brett Favre saga. I can't wait to be able to watch a sports show without hearing every ten mins about /favre or the Packers.

If Favre really goes to Tampa I wont be surprised if the Vikes pick up Garcia.

You know what threw up my antennas?

The fact that Jay Glazer was in Orlando (at Bucs camp) yesterday morning and stayed there. He and Schefter are the top dogs. Glazer is plugged into this situation and is going to be where he thinks Favre will end up. That, and the fact that the morning show I listen to was eaves-dropping on one of Glazer's phone calls.

Also, Bruce Allen was nowhere to be found yesterday at practice. That is an extremely unusual occurance. And it lent credence to the spec that he was doing the deal for Favre.

Everything you see on that TBO page is the truth. The Bucs have been heavy participants all along. And once Favre reported and the two parties split, the Bucs pounced. It's happening very fast.

I feed bad for Jeff Garcia. He is perfect for the Bucs and carried that offense last year. He deserves better than this. It's going to be interesting what happens to Garcia because he's been pretty ticked about his contract all summer. I can see them keeping four QBs, but obviously not five. They spent a 5th on Josh Johnson, who's a project. They may be forced to cut him. Griese was also traded for (and wasn't happy about it). They like Luke McCown. All signs point to them FINALLY getting rid of Simms, though they may choose to hang onto him till the end of camp and simply give him no reps, which has pretty much been the case to this point in camp anyway.

Also, Jon Gruden's offense is extremely complicated and verbose. Even Garcia says a lot of it is unnecessary. If Gruden pares it down for Favre, it's yet another indictment of the coach because to this point, he's refused to pare it down for ANYONE. Even when rookie Bruce Gradkowski was thrust into the starting role in '06. Garcia says he's only now starting to feel comfortable in it.

I don't see Favre making them better. Not early anyway.

This will make it very tough to watch our first preseason game. Favre here, Favre there. Luckily John Madden won't be the commentator.

Ehh....whatever I'd prefer it if Favre went to the NYJ and took some draft picks off of their table, but if Favre goes to Tampa maybe we can snag one of their surplus Qb's?

They might keep Garcia as Favre's backup, leaving 3 guys on the bubble..

Simms will be available and Dallas is interested. I would think that we would look at him.

I definitely see Garcia to the Vikes or Bears in the near future...On FSR this morning they mentioned that Simms could possibly be thrown in on the Favre deal sending him to Green Bay. He's been dying to get out of Tampa.

Simms headed to GB? How's that going to help him out? Lol. If Rodgers doesn't cut it there in the next year or so, I expect Brohm to take over.

Simple, they have no veteran for these kids to lean on or to talk to.
That's why pennington is involved in trade talks also.

He goes from 4 on a depth chart to at least #2 and gets away from Gruden whom he hates more than dog poop.

    They're definitely gearing up.

Disney officials are coordinating for a press conference (the Bucs do TC at Wide World of Sports in Orlando). The Bucs have also ordered 1,000 extra tickets to be printed for tomorrow's practice. Again, nothing confirmed or final. This is simply what's happening right now.

    Garcia is rightfully pissed.

If Garcia isn't shipped to GB I wonder if we would try to sign him (or Simms).

I mean they worked out Quincy, so why not one of those 2?

I would think the Bears or Vikings would push for Garcia. Same with sims though I think the Bears will take any QB.
