Thought something was afoot, just too many NFL insider types saying the same thing consistently, there will be a move made.

Damn, I really hope they do not shovel dirt on Chad Henne now, Sparano, when done with a guy, is d-o-n-e with them.

Henne played poorly at times but does not deserve the Freeze Out.

I am utterly shocked at this move and I don't understand it. The only way I can see it is if the coaching staff/management thinks that they can win it all with Pennington as the QB. They must, otherwise this move makes no sense.

I am a Pennington fan. I hate rooting against him. :pity:

 

We better go after Vick in the off-season!!!

 

I wonder if Sparano caught Henne lol'ing on the sidelines after the lob to Fasano...

Either way, I trust this move will instantly work wonders for our defense's ability to tackle and cover.

ridiculous as this sounds, considering i was against it fully the begining of the year....i would ****ing love that. the dude can break off and run 30 yards at anytime....and has a missle.

 

I'd only eat crow if you win the SB with him. Because anything short of that, this is a very questionable move.

Will I eat crow if Pennington kicks ***? No. Whether Pennington throws 40 touchdowns or 40 interceptions, its the same **** to me. You're not helping develop your young quarterback. If you don't want to deal with the ups and downs then you know what, you don't put a young quarterback out there. Become Jon Gruden and start recycling older quarterbacks.

 

Sparano is clueless. He has ruined our future QB.

4 loses- one is a special teams melt down, another is a win (steelers), another the qb henne leads us to the potential game tying td with a good drive, and the other was a bad game full of slips and drops.....and he benches henne!?!!??!

Can't see this as being a step forward. He was bad last week, but the offense is too vanilla. Putting Penny in there isn't going to do anything buy hurt Henne's confidence even more.

 

So, there you have it. When it comes right down to it, this FO just doesn't have any faith in Henne. That's why they limited so in the first place. Well, only time will tell if this is a good move or not, in the sort term. But, in long term I really question the move. In fact, I am beginning to wonder is this FO even knows how to develop young talent. Especially at the most important position of all.

Just one man's humble opinion.

 

All this franchise needs is a breaking news announcement that Carl Peterson is joining the team and all will be perfect for them.

It's not to me that Penny can't play, or won't even win a few games here, it's about long-term QB development, and Henne needs to play. This seems like a desperate move, and I don't get it. I could see if Sparano's job was on the line, but I highly doubt it was so this has me scratching my head.

It's not like Henne was playing THAT bad! And now, his development is shot down, and Lord knows what this does to his head now. God, I hate being a fan of this team sometimes, but what can I do - it's part of me now so I can't stop.

 

You could see it coming folks, if you paid attention, this is a right now league.

Here is my take, take it or leave it:

-The second half shutout was the final straw, not the interceptions, more that the offense was not performing for Henne.

-Penny will start from here on out..sort of..they know Penny has a high injury probability as well as two late season games in New England and NY, games were his strengths can be neutrailized by the weather, so Henne is not dead yet.

-Beast will flourish, I expect the whole passing offense to flourish in terms of TD's as Penny's touch and timing and recognition skills means he can high point balls to our playmakers in the Red Zone.

 

Now if they draft a quarterback, watch them go out and take Ricky Stanzi, who has the same damn issues as Henne.

 

Seriously screw this coaching staff. I am literally so disgusted right now. I have the worst feeling in my stomach and I know the Dolphins shouldn't effect me this way. I don't care if we make the playoffs. Pennington is not the long term answer Sparano. I hope your *** gets fired.
