In the end, it was Pioli.
It was Pioli all along.
In a shocking development, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has removed Scott Pioli as General Manager of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Rumors are swirling that this is due to a long lost "Zapruter"-style tape, which shows that Pioli himself, not video assistant Matt Estrella, actually was responsible for the New England Patriots infamous video taping scandal, or "Spygate" as it is more commonly known.
In a statement, Estrella stated he felt "vindicated by the decision," adding that "folks now know the truth - I was Pioli's patsie from the start."
Perhaps not surprisingly, New England head coach Bill Belichick was silent on the matter, though one unnamed source stated he "wouldn't be surprised to find if Belichick was a pawn in this all along."

Kansas City, fresh off an AFC West Division Championship, now finds themselves without a GM, though rumors of a new face in Kansas City have been surfacing throughout the day.
With the Senior Bowl under way in Mobile Alabama, the Hunt Family is expected to move quickly in announcing a new General Manager.
