and I wasn't implying that your were raging on him, I was making a point about your analogy, saying that if seahawk fans held what he did in three quarters against him, their not being smart..

Well if I'm a moron for thinking our coaching staff is a bunch of morons who don't know how to use players so be it. I think there is evidence to support that this staff doesn't know how to use players.

I really did love Wilson coming out. I just knew he had "it." I was hoping Miami would draft him in round three instead of taking Tannnehill in round one. I was so convinced RT would be a bust that I wouldn't face the fact that Miami would draft him until his name was physically called. I've been pleasantly surprised with him thus far, though.

    Still would take Wilson, though...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Tannehill beat Wilson in every statistical category this year?

Except wins because that's a TEAM stat.

If pass yards and pass td's is every QB category then sure, he beat him in every category.

Russell Wilson had higher yards per attempt (7.7 to 6.9), a better TD to INT ratio (2.85 to 2.25), lower interception rate (1.55 to 2.03), a higher passer rating (95.0 to 92.8), a higher ESPN QBR (62.4 to 59.1), more total net yards (4082 to 4019), higher net yards per play (6.67 to 5.81), fewer fumbles lost (0 to 2), higher net touchdown to turnover ratio (3.71 to 2.00).

    Consider yourself...corrected.

It will be something like "pass yards is all that matters! RT17 is the best QB in the whole wide world and all time!"

Also, Pete Carroll is clearly sporting a not very good look, year-after-year, by going with Wilson and winning so much.

Then again, what's Pete Carroll ever done, really, to show he knows football better than armchair QB's like us?

No one I take seriously has **** on Wilson, you're just too sensitive to handle him being critiqued. Which is funny coming from a supposed Dolphin fan who's supposedly "out on Tannehill. Then you blame the coaches for not using RT the way Wilson is used, as if they could even if they wanted to. You're all over the place. What you're clearly not all over is the game tape, if you were maybe youd have more in your arsenal than one liners and insults.

Oh yeah, Tannehill just had more attempts, higher comp. %, more yards, more TDs, more yards per game.

Sure looks to me like one QB is being asked to carry the team and the other is being carried by his team.

    But what do I know?

    That's what happened to me.

Actually he didn't have more total yards, or total yards per game. As I posted, Russell Wilson had 4082 total net yards to Tannehill's 4019. So there's that...

Just to let the folks hear the truth, this is not true, I didn't report one of his posts ever, and I only responded to his personal attacks when he started, I'll just reiterate so yall know what this cat is all about, there is a poster on this board who I trust that I won't name that told me thru a pm that this poster above threatened him thru a pm message, which got him banned I think for the first time, I totally believe it because if you remember this dude wrote a post to me in this forum in front of everyone, asking me to pm him so "he could get my phone number and we could settle it like men"..

Every time I talk about Wilson he comes here and First insults the entire board, then aims right at me..

He's already insulted this entire website in this very thread..and now has questioned the ethics of the mods..no good man.

There's really not much to critique, he's a third year player that has won games, won a superbowl, and won in the statistical dept for a third year qb...what I can't stand is blind protective homerism because someone has respect for a players that isn't ours..it's lame and uninteresting.

I just started to read this thread, and I knew right away there was going to be a parade of saltiness after the thread title. You would think Tannehill has won something before, other than the Meineke Bowl against a ****ty Northwestern team, his shelf is quite empty compared to Wilson.

One interesting stat you posted is fumbles lost. Wilson has actually fumbled it a lot this year. But for whatever reason, hes had good fortune with his fumbles being recovered by his own team. Was reading an article on that a few weeks ago. I think we agree that fumble recoveries, due to the unpredictability of an oblong ball bouncing, that there is a bit of luck with that.

Footwork, pre-snap reads, progression reads, accuracy, which routes he throws well/poorly, which coverages he does well/poorly against, ball security, decision making, just to name a few. There's a whole lot to critique. It's a shame bc you're such a big fan of his game but you show no interest in actually learning his game. To each his own I guess.

IMO the biggest difference in drafting Wilson in the 2nd is the fact that Miami would have gotten a good to great player with the first round pick. The dolphins would have been better off throwing their pick away than drafting Jonathan Martin

    wth are you talking about..

Obviously I know his game, I projected him to be an excellent qb at this level..I've watched more reps of Russell Wilson then you have I can promise you that..

We can critique all that stuff if you wish, we can do that with every qb, but we must use some sort of relative perspective...This dude is on a path that no one else has ever accomplished, so while we can sit here and play fu&$In tiddly wnks and act like pro scouts if you want, but what does that prove, the guy has a game that you clearly do not understand how to put into context relative to winning games..

    His presnap reads?? Lol...

His decision making...really, what would you like to critique?, his decision making is what. Has made him what he is, which is the highest rated 3rd year qb ever..and if he wins 2maro, add most accomplished 3rd year qb..he makes great decisions..

From just a pure numbers perspective, JUST from the pocket I might add...he's a career 96 qbr, 20/10 ratio, 66% passer..and that includes post season, just from the pocket, which is not even close to what his full skillset provides for an offense.

Does he have problems throwing certain routes on the tree?, sure he's a small guy, there are things he has to trust and anticipate, but as far as arm talent, he has beautiful touch on the football and good arm strength..

The message I got from the mod was to stop being a baby, and all I was doing was reporting personal attacks.

    Do the math.
