You really need to look up some of the European festivals.

And I think the upcoming Slayer/Megadeth/Testament tour might give that one a run for the money. :wink2:

There are some bad bands on this one...but there are far more awesome ones...

Just thinking about the Scorpions yesterday as I was almost blown over by the winds up here. and agreed, it was the P***y glam-metal bands that ruined my favorite 80s music.

I don't think it was Poison that started it though. Bon Jovi was going down that road before Poison starting hitting it big. Poison just took it to another level of idiocy.

I was going to college just as Poison was starting to hit it big and was thankful that I didn't have to listen to that crap anymore. made me embarassed that I ever listened to bands like Motley Crue, Ratt.. for a couple of years. what was I thinking?

Bret Michaels was one of my favorite lead singers back in the day. My favorite song from Motley Crue:

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain
The wind would whisper and I'd think of you
And all the tears you cried, that called my name
And when you needed me I came through

I paint a picture of the days gone by
When love went blind and you would make me see
I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes
So that I knew you were there for me
Time after time you were there for me

Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you

We spend the summer with the top rolled down
Wished ever after would be like this
You said I love you babe, without a sound
I said I'd give my life for just one kiss
I'd live for your smile and die for your kiss

Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you

We've had our share of hard times
But that's the price we paid
And through it all we kept the promise that we made
I swear you'll never be lonely

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain
Washed away a dream of you
But nothing else could ever take you away
'Cause you'll always be my dream come true
Oh my darling, I love you

Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you

Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you

    .

"..of he goes with his perfectly unkept clothes.there he goes.."

Eddie Vetter kinda nailed Nirvana in "off he goes"..

Sort of, there were some questionable line up changes, Dickenson leaving Iron Maiden..Halford bailing on Judas Priest..

"If" Poison...Warrant....Winger...killed hair metal, then prozac killed grunge rock...there is a correlation...people can be massively depressed for only so long...:D

Eh, wish Michaels well, there was a time when nary a early 20 yr old hottie did not have a Poison Cassette or CD in their Honda...
