I reallly like that line, "need is a terrible negotiator and even worse evaluator"...could also substitute "horny" with "need"
Bilick was scarred by Kyle Boller, and, IMO, it shows in his (non-)evaluations. And why in the hell would Seattle trade up for Tannehill? They just signed Matt Flynn.
This is from Peter King's MMQB (from today). Maybe there are rumblings that Seattle are considering trading up? I really do not know. But from various sources that I have read, Pete Carroll is enamored by Tannehill. I wonder how Matt Flynn feels about that?
Surprises happen every draft but paying the price to trade up to get Tannehill would really be a surprise and a shock considering the contract they just gave to Flynn and other needs they need to fill in the draft. I would be less surprised if Kansas City traded up to take Tannehill.
Carroll just recently announced that the position will be settled by competition, little off topic but I thought it was interesting..As far as Billick goes, Iam just so glad our owner didn't give him the time a day... So funny listening to him talk about how he would listen to Ross's vision before he would contemplate taking the job...fu&$ him, dude had no clue he wasn't even in the running..
Let seatle take him...or even KC. I dont want to overpay and with Barkley around the corner not too unhappy having other QB needy teams taking themselves out of the running next yr. Still rather have weeds but more important IMO is not to overpay.
