why would the Dolphins hire an offensive coordinator whose team scored fewer points than Miami in 2009 & 2010?
what is Sparano thinking?
where is the justification for hiring someone with a history of mediocrity & losing?
as far as I can see, the only two advantages he has over Henning is he is not Henning & is younger.
is this another bad call by Sparano or is there genius behind this move?
:no:did I miss something? will Brian Daboll be the guy to re-invent our offense? is he the fix?
all I know is the Browns are happy to get rid of him.
Eric Mangini fired him and replaced by Pat Shurmur. what does all this mean for our 2011 season?
:theman:Tony Sparano
incompetence is the mother of failure

Bro, I'm just as puzzled as you are. I'm guessing that the guy had one hell of an interview, but if Miami would have just waited out a little longer we could have interviewed a much more qualified candidate in Jeremy Bates. Why Seattle fired him, I'll never know. The best way to judge any coach is what he does with the talent he has. Bates revitlized the career of Mike Williams, and helped lead the Seattle Seahawks to an NFC West title, and a playoff appearance in which they blew the defending Super Bowl champions out of the water in their own building. What has Daboll done with the talent he's had in Cleveland? If you look at the Browns offense the last two years, I would say pretty much next to nothing.
I just have a feeling that it will be "deja vu all over again" watching Daboll's offense in 2011. Well, that is if there even will be a 2011 season. -
Honestly, deserves a chance. Granted, his offense did score less points than ours, but keep in mind what he had to work with. I am not going to go out on a limb and say he will be the greatest thing to happen to this team in a while, but we should at least see what he can do with better talent.
-
We'll just have to wait and see if he can move "da ball" with our offensive talent before jumping all over his case. I cant imagine the uproar it'll cause if he does worse than Henning next year.
-
It makes sense if you're paying attention. We want to open up the offense and be more aggressive and Daboll wants to run the offense he was a part of in New England. That's why he was hired.
Let's give the guy a chance. He can't be any worse than Henning.Coral Reefer, Trowa and GMJohnson like this. -

tired of people who deserve a chance
& all the baggage & excuses that go with it.
I simply don't want another season like 2010.
can't get away from it: garbage in, garbage out.
looks like another bad decision to me
Friend Rocky Raccoon:
not only can he be worse than Henning, he was worse than Henning
it is what it is, another Sparano decision
we can hope for the best, but we didn't get the best
better to question:
are you paying attention, is Sparano paying attention? -
Its very intellectually lazy to say Cleveland's offense was 30th so the OC must suck. The Browns had horrible personnel, three different QBs with 3 different skillsets, and a GM who was determined to move to a west coast style offense. Playing the Steelers and Ravens 4 times a year doesn't help either. So instead of bashing the guy before you even know what he's about or capable of, why don't we all take a chill pill and see what's what. He got hired for a reason, none of know what the reason(s) was, hopefully we'll find out soon.

he says henne sucks -
And he also showed some energy with getting this opportunity. Might be a welcome change. Don't rule this guy out yet.Steve-Mo and Rocky Raccoon like this. -
For a guy that just got hired, he just endorsed his quickest ticket back to the unemployment line. Didn't Chad Henne say during the season that he was more comfortable when he wasn't in shotgun? -
Did you hear that all you Henne haters? Our new Offensive Coordinator Brian Daboll has said that Chad Henne is his QB.
What do you all think of that? :nutkicker: -

Friend Moves
unbelievable: garbage in, garbage out
now we know why he got the job
I predict another losing season
if what was posted is accurate
& they actually follow through
on what was said they will do in 2011
Cleveland's offense was 30th
Miami offense was also a bottom feeder
now, they're going with Henne in a spread offense?
Henne is no Brady, no Manning, no Marino
truth is he has a strong arm, however
he's an inaccurate & erratic passer
Henne lacks leadership on & off the field
he is immobile & cannot read a defense
his time has come & gone, in so many words:
Henne is not a starting NFL QB -
-
He did mention Marshall's name about 5 five times though. -
I think he's a "whatever" hire at OC, who may very well pay enough attention to play to our strengths. I'm not doubting until I start seeing it next season.Killerphins likes this. -

2.8 YAC AVG. That is pathetic. I could turn around and fall down and pick up that.
The guy is a joke. -
You people that keep posting negative comments and useless bull**** need to get off the damn forums. You ruin my reading material. Try using useful information rather than just "OMFG WE ARE GONNA SUCK AGAIN CAUSE THEY'RE GONNA DO THE SAME STUFF AS LAST YEAR". You never know what can happen. You don't, period. I don't care if you are the smartest and most interesting person in the world and drinking Dos Equis.
It's annoying to read and you're wasting my time.Trowa and Killerphins like this. -

Besides I could care less about the sorry *** Cardinals. We are talking about your love for BM.
Also you still haven't answered me about your QB plan. You come in trolling on the position and then exit when you get in a corner. That is weak. -
I have no idea how good or bad Daboll will be with this team or, does anyone else. We have seen countless coaches go from genius to idiot, team to team, and the reverse. Gotta give the guy a chance, he may shock the hell out of us or, could be worse than Henning. -
It sounds like they're going to try and install Weis' version of Henning's system. Similar to what NE and KC run.
Daboll did work for Weis in NE.
I wonder if I live outside the blackout zone? -
As for my QB plan, justs surveying the FA QB landscape, there isn't exactly a whole lot to work with. As much as I would like to kick Henne to the curb, he's got one year left on his current contract, so he might as well stay. However, HE MUST NOT BE HANDED ANYTHING. It's clear he needs competition. As much as I can't believe that I'm saying this, because I know it's destined for failure, I would bring in Matt Leinart. Hell, why not? He's gotta be better than a broken down McNabb, a mentally unstable Vince Young, or an inconsistent Alex Smith. Finally, you draft a rookie QB. Preferably, in the first round. -
