http://www.aintitcool.com/node/37148 I've always liked Mike Myers, and I wanted to be optimistic about this movie despite having zero interest in actually seeing it based on the trailers. But I guess this should come as no surprise.
It looks horrible. I didn't read the review just in case I have to 'watch' it sometime, if you know what I mean.
wow the reference to "extreme" in the review..really made me take a trip down memory lane. good god...am I that old already?
I thought it looked pretty bad. But saying Meet the Spartans is every bit as good is saying something. I didn't actually see Meet the Spartans but those previews looked worse than The Love Guru.
The trailers were unfunny and probably the best parts of the movie ... I didn't have much hope for this one going in and it sounds like that was for good reason. Heck, even Harry hated it, and I usually agree with his reviews. http://www.aintitcool.com/node/37138
It didnt look very appealing to me... so im not that surprised by the review. The only reason i'd give for watching it is to see Emmanuel Chriqui Even though I dont think she's in it much
Wow. He compared the movie to the holocaust and a third term abortion. ****ing brutal. I have genuine affection for Mike Myers and believe he is funny. But I guess this is what happened to Chevy Chase and Dan Akroyd. If comedy comes from pain, then at a certain level of success these once comic icons finally felt joy and lost all sense of comedy.
