This is what I was wondering about. How guys like Clabo and McKinne who are new to the team and its culture took it.
I like how McKinnie said if Martin had come to him, it ends. And not because he's some champion of justice but because Martin is a starter and he knows from experience the very LAST thing you need is a starter heading into Sundays with his head out of whack from this kind of stuff. And when questioned whether Incognito would have given pushback, McKinnie is pretty clear...Richie wouldn't dare defy him.
McKinnie is also a FA in the twilight of his career. Not a time to give anything but the most PC answers possible.
I disagree. His look, his tone, his attitude, clearly communicates otherwise. The way he says, "it ends there" is telling. He doesn't follow, he commands. And laughing (he's trying to hold back hysterics) at the idea of Richie trying to punk him, clearly indicates that McKinnie is not going to be ****ed with. To borrow Richie's lexicon, Bryant McKinnie isn't anyone's *****...
It is what it is. Talk is cheap, especially in hindsight. We're talking about a guy who was too lazy to stay in shape for the majority of his career. He's not a leader.
But none of our other players who didn't arrive mid season would say anything to their fearless leader.. Every dolphin player on the team besides Mckinnie was Cognitos #####
McKinnie is irrelevant. He was in for 1-2 week when Martin left. This shat has been going on for years before McKinnie.
i totally agree. and it's sad because mckinnie wasnt even a leader on the ravens or vikings (if anything he was seen as immature). he comes to our shyt storm and he becomes the voice of reason. this is so sad. he's literally the only o-lineman i want back on this team for next season. i dont give a damn if he's out of shape or not. let him be a reserve.
No, he is just another voice of your typical NFL player in an NFL locker room. This is not a Miami Dolphins issue, it's an NFL issue...just be prepared for the Dolphins to be made an example of to warn the 31 other teams to dial it down a notch. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
