Raheem Morris was put into an impossible situation in Tampa, the Bucs had been typically a winning team with first round playoff expectations under John Gruden, Morris was hired and the Roster scrubbed in a rebuilding season but they are winless and getting worse by the week. Raheem may face a Cam Cameron fate after the season, it's not that he is not a good NFL Quality Coach, terrible seasons do have consequences though..
It really is too bad. He's not getting a fair shake if they can him. That team is void of talent. They've still got a lot of guys drafted for the Tampa 2 who are now playing in Jim Bates' system. And there is no QB on the roster right now (you can't count on rookie Freeman). They also fired their OC prior to the season, so they're shorthanded there. Just an all around tough situation during this rebuilding year.
Exactly, it is not that Morris's is a bad coach, but a newbie GM and a new coach on a team that needs a clean sweep means there will be repercussions for someone. Mueller was an experienced GM and was fired in 08, the GM in Tampa has made a couple of boneheads already.. But the actual "official" board now banning the use of "Radio"?
Its a bad team, but I havent seen anything at all to say Morris isnt a bad coach either. He looks like hes in way over his head imo, and I can easily see him sharing Cam Camerons one and done fate.
Gruden not only left the cupboard bare in Tampa, but left left it in the negative. What a TERRIBLE judge of talent he is. If he ever gets another HC gig, you have to hope that he doesn't have personnel control. How many horrible Quarterbacks did he sign and draft?
