Wow... I come here the first time in a few days and see this? Atrocious. Go play the game. See how easy it is for your body to take a beating. Its football. Players get injured. Its as simple as that. Especially a guy who is on the field almost ever offensive play, and touches the ball and gets hit about 20-25 times again. things happen.
Sure, claim the injury prone crap... Love it. A facemask to the hand/getting your hand stuck in someones facemask, whatever happened and you break a bone in your hand... freak accident. Blow out your knee trying to make a tackle, something that you don't do regularly... foot gets caught in the turf weird and there goes the knee... Another strange occurrence. Now this, odd little foot injury, getting hit while making a move, looked like the foot got caught, stepped on, whatever, and he's done again. And here's the Ronnie's glass crap. But lets overlook how he performed last year after having his knee put back together. Yeah, that doesnt matter. Forget it really. I'm done with this crap. I can't believe I've wasted this much time of my life on this topic already.
That said, Id really love to see you out there. Lets see how long you last. I'll guess one, or two plays.
And yes, I'm fully expecting a respose of... shut it. I played ball... blah blah blah.
Hate to say it, but I agree with the simple response that's already been said that will probably lead to a ban
/end rant
Oh, and great response by Piscitelli. Obviously it wasnt intentional. -
Seeing Ronnie go down again was painful. I really wanted to see him finish the season strong. It's part of the game though and Ricky has filled in admirably. I hope he can keep it up. I'm wondering if we might see Kory Sheets one of these days?

I don't want to make this a thread about Ronnie and his injury history, but this is CLEARLY an instance where your objectivity gets in the way of your bias towards your favorite player.
I'm cool with it, it happens...much like I go nuts about Marino being the greatest QB of all time. I don't do very well listening to that argument.
However, to say that Ronnie isn't injury prone is just false IMO. Unless we have a difference in what injury prone means, I can't see it as otherwise.
He is prone to accidents/injuries. Whether the injuries or flukes, accidents, whatever, it's all the same.
I love Ronnie Brown and want him on the team, but it is what is.gunn34 likes this. -
Honestly, glass is the best analogy you can use? You're trying to be clever with that one? -
"dances too much".
"does not want to be the man."
"he was a third down back at auburn."
"we should have drafted Braylon Edwards."
"Doesn't play with attitude."
"Ricky is better."

Sabby is my boy..One of my all time favorite college players. He was a gawd

Every football player in the NFL is "prone to injury". Especially those at the running back position. Your job is to get hit.
That's why they have such a short shelf-life. Unlike a WR who can go out of bounds or simply fall down, RB's take a hit on almost every play, and sometimes multiple hits if they are successful.
Name me one position in all of professional sports that takes a beating as much as a RB does. I'll wait.Rocky Raccoon likes this. -
Sabby is a good guy and I'm sure he didn't mean to put the hurting on Brown. Sometimes things just go bad I guess.

Honestly though, I know we don't like to hear it, but Ronnie certainly is injury prone. It is the one aspect of his game, I think, that prevents him from being an elite back in this league. With the exception of last year, he has never had a complete season here in Miami. One year out of five where he remained healthy throughout. It is a cause for concern.
I still love Ronnie though.JimToss and Killerphins like this. -
I think it was a nice gesture on his part but what is the point. -

Your a friggin Clown.
One Look at your posts and over 80% of them bash Ronnie Brown and slurp Rickys Little D*c*y like John Madden on Brett Favre.
I can officially say your a Troll, and a nuisance on the class and integrity of the board. If someone didn't know any better, they'd swear every fan on this board is a Ronnie Hater.
Keep talkin smack about Ronnie, next season he'll prove you wrong. Remember this from history class?

He's not perfect but soft players don't line up and take a direct snap with ten seconds to go and win games. He's good enough that this isn't just our loss....the NFL in general loses. Sundays got less exciting the minute they helped him off the field, there's your truth.MonstBlitz, late again, unluckyluciano and 1 other person like this. -

Every thing you said is obvious but useless in the discussion of Ronnie Brown. Yes, he plays a position in a game that magnifies the chance of injury. But why hasn't every other premier back had to miss as many games as he has? Are they less physical? Do they play a different game?
I don't see what the problem is with Ronnie Brown having a flaw...and it is a flaw. He has been able to play only one full season in his career. To say he isn't injury/accident prone is really not being objective...because he is.
Even superheroes have their flaws. It happens. -
-
That was my point, and no it's not a flaw in Ronnie Browns game. You might as well say there's a flaw in the human design, because there's no skill or trick to avoid getting injured when you take a hit.
I ask you this, how many games has Ronnie Brown missed because of a pulled hamstring or some other minor injury? -
