I say "air" should go to Eli and "ground" to Reggie. Both were the key to their respective teams winning this past Sunday

 

Tannehills vote is for rookie of the week so it works for me.

 

Yeah to say Tannehill doesn't deserve it is crazy. I mean maybe he is not the rookie of the week, but he should atleast be nominated. 60% completion, 1 rushing TD, 1 passing TD, 200 yards 0 int. 91.0 QB rating, yeah he deserves to be nominated. Now with Bush, they don't even need voting, that award is his

 

While my fanatism for my team supports Ryan's nomination and wants him to win the weekly award, my objective vote would have to go to Russell Wilson of Seattle, a 3rd round draft pick going up against arguably a much tougher defense than did Tannehill.

 

Both have my vote! Thought both played well in a statement game. Now time to repeat and ground the Jets!

 

If Russel Wilson were 3 inches taller, he'd have been the Dolphins draft pick.

Would of had two passing TD's had Bess not been mugged on the great route he ran. Does he deserve to win the award? Up for debate but a nomination is surely deserved sir.

If Reggie doesn't win something is wrong...the only other player that was close to his production was Spiller.

Wilson had a great game he really didn't look like a rookie out there to me.

But I'm voting Tannehill for returning after a ugly first game or 2nd quarter. Keeping his head in it his performance was great, a rushing TD, first career passing TD and a win.
And he happens to be a Dolphin.

Its actually a travesty they don't mention Ryan running TD.

Well deserved probably the hardest working player on the team.

 

Here is yet ANOTHER indication how what happens when you pair talent with a true work ethic . Philbin was in the chow line as he referred to it and looked outside and 22 was still working out.

Big time credit to him.

 

This zone blocking scheme is perfect for Reggie. It allows him to use his vision and quickness to find a hole he likes and explode. Rather than telling him to just hit one hole as hard as he can with no cutback options etc.

 

That telling him to hit one hole as hard has he can with no cutback option type running scheme is why Reggie is perfect for this zone blocking scheme.

Last year Reggie learned by fire what it means to be an every down runningback and he learned his craft. He went from a runningback who went for the home run everytime to a runningback hat understands that it important to get 4 yards with a carry.

 

Oh, Bull Roar!!! Take a look at the other nominees... He is definitely in their league, and he had to lead a team out of the catastrophe of the week before.

 

I disagree a little tiny bit with this. Sure last year helped him become a better player, but he will never be as successful in the type of scheme we had last season as he will this season in my opinion.

Even though I agree the experience helped him.

 

I disagree. I think it is more of the blocking than with the actual scheme. If he had good blocking in the type of scheme he had last season, he would have just as much success with good blocking in this scheme.

While the zone blocking scheme allows him to pick cut back lanes, last year's scheme allowed him to use his athletic ability to juke the **** out of linebackers.
