C Palmer "Never playing for Bengals again"

According to Dennis Janson of WCPO-TV in Cincinnati, Carson Palmer recently told a friend that he will "never set foot in Paul Brown Stadium again."
"I have $80 million in the bank," Palmer added. "I don't have to play football for money. I'll play it for the love of the game but that would have to be elsewhere. I'm prepared to live my life." Palmer is obviously serious about walking away, and all indications out of Cincinnati suggest the Bengals have softened their stance on a potential trade. We wouldn't take Palmer's Paul Brown Stadium threat literally. He'd have to play there as a visitor in 2011, for instance, if traded to the 49ers.

Hmm, well cannot get much plainer then that, all he'd have left to do is burn his Bengals jersey in front of Bengals HQ to make it just a bit more official.:lol:

The quote in the subject and what Palmer actually said are two different things.

But I agree it’s time for the Bengals to trade him. Shame they can’t without a new CBA. As always, Carson Palmer’s timing is lacking.

Space limitations Des, a thread entitled : "Carson Palmer vows to friends to never set foot in Paul Brown Stadium Again" is a bit longish imo.

Then again, it would not be exactly what he said.

Palmer appears to be determined that he is done in Cinci, so much so even notoriously stubborn Mike Brown has gotten the message, but whether a trade can be worked out in time to matter for 2011 is anyone's guess.

No players can be traded until there’s a new CBA. Doesn’t matter if you do it before the end of the league year or not. No trades are allowed.
