Just checked on his status. He ended his season with the Titans on IR and then was released afterwards.
He remains an unsigned free agent.
...This might be emotional, but if we're taking flyers on guys...Dolphins - pick him up for the minimum and let his finish his career as a Dolphin. You might get some decent backup snaps out him, a veteran presence in the locker room, and he gets the chance, at last, to play alongside a competent Dolphins defense.
EDIT - I missed that he didn't play the 2020 season at all. His last season was 2019.
He was offered a contract by the Broncos in Sep. 2020 but turned it down.
If no-one else has picked him up is that it for him? Has he declined to the point of ending his career?

I think Cam is done. In addition to what you already laid out, he's 39 years old.

Easily one of my all-time favorites...hope we sign him and then he retires.

Maybe I'm the only one but if you asked me how long Cam Wake played for the Dolphins I'd say 5-6 years.
The dude was in Miami for 10 years, LOL. Wow! How time flies.
Still, he literally began his NFL career with Miami at the age of 27. I don't think anyone really ever quite put into perspective how old he was. Even in his glory days as a Fin, he was 30 - 35 years old.KeyFin, resnor and Claymore95 like this. -

Wake was awesome, and yes he keeps himself in amazing shape, but he's 39 years old. The oldest player to record a sack last season was 34.KeyFin likes this. -
One of my all time favorite players. Easily far and away my favorite defensive player we ever had here since I've been watching. I loved Zach Thomas and JT, Tim Bowens, Terrell Buckley, Louis Oliver, and Troy Vincent, but Cam Wake is easily my favorite all time. I have his jersey, I was fortunate enough to watch him live against the Titans where he destroyed Marcus Mariotta twice. I would not be opposed to signing him for the season, but I don't think he has even been thought about as an option by anyone other than fans like us.
Oh, this ought to be fun...What was your favorite Cam Wake moment?
Mine was far and away the walk off safety against the Bengals some years back. I thought the Bengals had us beat, it certainly looked that way. We somehow got the game into overtime and we had them pinned on their own goal line. Wake busted through and straight up mollywhopped Andy Dalton in his own end zone and that was game! When you can tell multiple awesome stories about a player that's been a huge part of your franchise for a decade, I think it's safe to say that they belong in the HOF. -
He has to be the NFL career leader in holdings not called.

Wake had the best first step I have seen on the Dolphins and I loved when he was blocked by a tight end because it was always ridiculous how easy he made the rush look.Unlucky 13 likes this.
