I can't believe how bad this team is playing right now under Cameron. Its clear the players are not playing under Cameron. Even in a recent interview with Jason Taylor - Taylor basically said he is not sold on Cameron. I don't know how many more losses it will take before some fans wake up.
As far as Mueller his Ginn pick was enough for me to not want him drafting for the phins anymore. Ginn is a bust and definitely not worth the 9th overall pick in last years draft!
This is the worst dolphin team I have ever seen on the field and I have been a fan a long time. If we see Cameron and Mueller next year we are going to be bad for a long time!

im not upset about Ginn at all, he has proven to be good. Im not upset about Satele, Mauia, Booker, Mormino, or Fields.....Mormino was a starter until he got hurt. Satele and Mauia are already starting and doing a fine job if u ask me. Booker JUST started playing but people say he is doing amazing.
Mueller KNOWS how to draft. if we get rid of Cam i wont be upset, but dont ditch Mueller....he knows how to draft.
and guys, sorry to say...dont be surprised if we draft offense this year, as of now our offense looks worse than defense...all we need is to add an RT, WR, TE playmakers, and we will be better. it wouldnt shock me to see Mueller trade back and draft DeSean Jackson or Early Doucet, then draft Fred Davis, and some RT in the 2nd, and a OG in the latter 2nd. wouldnt surprise me at all. -
Please, dont anyone retort with the "You can't fire Cam, half his starters are injured and he's playing with all scrubs!"
Because at this point over 10 people are out and the only reason is because they don't want to risk getting hurt on a wasted season. Come on, ZT! You're out with migraines from a minor concussion you suffered in a fender bender after a game? Bull. He's saving himself to be traded next year.
No one believes in Cam. No one wants to win for him. They'd rather get through the holidays and this season in one piece and focus on next year.
How's that for a team motivator? He's lost his locker room, his fan base, and every single game he's played this year.
Time to call Cowher. -
at least Cam didnt ditch us to Alabama *sniff sniff*:(
-
Whenever we choose to get rid of Cam, his head coaching days are over. Perfect example of the Peter Principal. Unfortunately, we're the ones that have figured out that Cam should have topped out at Offensive Coordinator and reached his level of incompetence as a HC. Of course maybe his record at Indiana could have told us that.
-
I agree, fire them both RIGHT NOW, don't wait until the end of the season.
-
why do u guys wanna get rid of Mueller? he did real well with the draft. if u fire someone, let it be Cameron. or at least make him OC, like he was in San Diego. heck as of now id rather Mularkey be HC....we cant possibly get any worse, so give him a shot.
when i watch the dolphins play, it seems theyre making mistakes PURPOSELY. its as though they WANT to lose, to secure that #1 pick....or to bounce back next week and whoop New England (in ur dreams) and then suddenly "omg miami dolphins" all over the news.
still...we lost 6 games by 3 points or less, so we dont SUCK SUCK. -
-
Um, we are 0-13 and are actually getting worse. The team has clearly quit and our QB of the future was benched for what would be a 3rd string QB on every other team in the league. We are likely going to go 0-16 to set an historic record. I would say that fits the definition of "SUCK" and also "SUCK SUCK" for that matter.
-
Keep Cameron and Mueller for one more year. Let them have another draft and free agency signing period. See if the team improves and how much. This is the season from hell but we took our first brutal step which was starting the rebuilding process. Hopefully we draft QB Matt Ryan and OT Jeff Otah and stay healthy.
-
So we can piss away another year!! -
Calling Ted Ginn Jr. a bust when he has not even completed his first professional season is the most ridiculous/knee jerk CRAP that can possibly be uttered. draft picks get THREE YEARS, not 2/3 of one year.
-
BTW...I think we should fire Cameron right now, finish this nightmare of a season with an in-term coach, hire a football man to be team president and let him deside what happens to Mueller and the rest of the organization.
I have no issue with Mueller, I do have major issues with Cameron. -
I can't stand to even look at that emotionless expression of Cameron's anymore. Cut our losses now and get rid of him.
How 'bout Jimmy Bates for HC and Chan Gailey for OC. -
What are you talking aboat eh? Do you honestly think we have the next Steve Smith or Marvin Harrison in Ginn? Do you really think he will out grow his clumsiness and become a dominant receiver??? Are you arriving at the conclusions based on hope and prayer or could you enlighten us on what you've seen (as a pro, not college) that makes you have such faith. -
Just 2 weeks ago I would have said that to fire Cam, even after a possible 0-16 season would be stupid. You dont win games by having a revolving door at the coaching spot.
But you know, the losses to the Jets and Bills now were, frankly, embarrassing beyond belief. We lost in horrible fashion to two of the WORST teams in the league. We made KELLEN CLEMENS and TRENT EDWARDS look like Manning and Brady! We made the Jets/Bills D look like the Ravens from when they won their SB. Good god. Right now we would be hard pressed to beat the Pats second or even third team. We would be hard pressed to beat OSU or LSU. And normally when people say that kind of thing I laugh at them. But now? This organization is destroyed.
Offseason, good bye Cam. Good by JT as well, Ive had it with him. Thanks for the memories, but you signed on to play this year and never showed up, instead just complained and whined the whole season, good riddance. ZT? Id keep him, but I doubt he wants to come back.
And what of the OC and DC? Capers and Mularky? Id fire them too. And that ST guy, Armstrong, addios.
Mueller? I dont know. Hes got history on his side, and a halfway decent draft this year, but 0-16? And by all reports he was all over the Daunte train over Brees as well. I dunno what that says ....
Gah, where the hell do you even start? QB? Beck looks like ***, draft Ryan/Brennen or someone? Could we force the NCAA to let Tebow come out early? RB? Will Ronnie be the same? It will likely be halfway into the year before he might hit his stride again and McFadden looks insane. DT? We give up 200 yards to the freaking BILLS!! Dorsey? DE? JT the whiner needs to go, Long/Campbell? MLB for Zach?
I dont even think I can talk secondary without having a stroke atm sorry.
Can we fire the whole team? The whole organization? Incredible how far we have fallen, just incredible. I swear to god you could take a random collection of people off this website and they couldnt do much worse at managing this franchise than it has been ever since marino/shula left. In fact, they cant do worse, hard to do worse than an
O-ffer isnt it. -
Thanks for the sarcasm with the "eh" comment though, it was needed.Last edited: Dec 9, 2007 -
If Cowher is around and willing, and he seems to be in it, get him. Just make sure we arent setting up for Jimmy J. v2.0 though with a guy who's heart isnt it and who would bail in 2-3 years. Maybe Marty Schot? I hate the guy but he might at least build us up and set us up a bit. At this point Im just not sure what this team should do. -
That said, I'm always willing to give draft picks 3 years. It takes time for young players to learn. -
100% agree with you on Ted Ginn, not so much on sticking with Cam.
Unless of course it is your idea that WE FIRE OR REPLACE EVERYONE CONNECTED TO THIS TEAM.
Seriously if the players aren't playing hard now for Cam, will they wink and smile next year when Cam is back as HC?
Either we dump everyone and start fresh with Cam, or we dump Cam and keep some of the players who are here right now. -
So let me get this straight. Ginn is a bust despite hauling in a 54-yard bomb and steadily improving over the course of the season?
Why? Because he muffed a punt? (his first of the year)
And Beck is also a bust, after less than 13 quarters of football?
Please tell me you guys have a more refined perspective than that.
Also, for the record, I've stood behind Cameron since day 1, but even I have serious issues with benching a rookie quarterback regardless of how poorly he's playing. I can only hope that Cameron will return him to the starting role next week. -
He forced the Bills to kick short to a 0-12 team, he changed the game, Ted Ginn was the only player that we have that made the other team change the normally succesful way they play.
That is a "difference maker" for us. -
As for RB...Ricky is under contract for next year.,.. Jesse looks like he could be worth resigning or if he wants to much $$$ then we try to keep Gado.
Trade Down to get more picks.. and maybe if the cards fall right (unlike this year) we stand a chance.
The coaching really needs to be looked at... until a couple weeks ago I was in the keep 'em cause turn over has been half the problem. After the last couple games I no longer ifnd myself in that camp. -
Let that man decide on Mueller, Cameron etc. I don't think the hierarchy of the Dolphins is structured to deal with just how bad this is getting. -
You are right about one thing for sure- no one could do worse. No one has done worse except those Bucs I guess. I feel for Cam with all the injuries, but not playing Booker all those early games? What was he thinking? We should hype our interest in McFadden as the greatest thing to ever come out of college and hope we can bait somebody into trading everything to get him. We will have the top pick next year too. We haven’t won since last season and aren’t going to win again until the middle of next year either. I don’t really see how Cam can talk Wayne into buying into what he’s accomplishing here. Where’s the signs of any improvement? This has been a disaster.
-
Cam is useless, Special Teams coach needs to go. Ginn bust, Beck bust..O-Line sucks....No WR's..TEs who cant contribute beit catch or block. Ronnie cant be trusted to stay healthy. JT is past it, Zach is past it, CB's cant cover, Safeties cant stay healthy, DE's cant pass rush anymore, Crowder isnt MLB quality, he doesnt make plays. Punter is inconsistent. Depth at all defensive positions is poor.
Anyone got any positives? -
Trading down sounds all nice and dandy, but have 2 issues with that. First, its a lot harder to do than want to do, and second, sadly, we NEED the caliber of player we can get with a top pick, BADLY! We NEED a Ryan, Dorsey, McFadden or Long. -
Ginn will be good for us though, will he be an all time great? I dont know, but hes about the biggest positive we have so far. Ronnie we need a good backup for, but man if he can come back he will be a beast. OL has a few decent pieces in Carey and Satele.
Aside from that though? Yeah, you said it well enough. -
It’s not hard to trade down when you have McFadden there and New England with the second pick. Jerry Jones would be the type to mortgage the future to keep NE from getting better, and picking up the best player in the draft. Takes giant ones, and he’s got ‘em.
-
New England actually wouldnt scare alot of teams into trading with us. If anything, their history shows they are one of the teams most willing to trade, and Bill B is not one to bet the farm on one player. If he sees a good deal he will take it, if not he will get his guy. I dont see the interest in McFadden being enough to convince to many teams to trade with us. I just dont see a whole lot of trade down scenarios from the first pick. -
-
And yes, QB has to be something we look at hard, I dont like what Beck is doing. He hasnt looked good at all, and the comparisons to AJ Feely seem accurate so far. Why the hell is it so hard for us to get a good QB these days? :confused2:
