After what Wake did last year, (second most efficient pass rusher in the league after Lamarr Woodley and above Demarcus Ware per PFF), I'm excited to see what he'll do this year. I think he can be our version of James Harrison, another guy with superior athleticism who bounced around a bit before getting his head on straight. I'm not saying Wake will be the defensive MVP of the league, but that's not an impossibility either since it is certainly within the reach of his potential.

I hope he's the starter, we don't appear to have another explosive pass rusher on the squad.

If he isn't with the starters by training camp then it's time to worry. I mean Charlie Anderson at starting linebacker? He is NOT a starter. I'd hope to be wrong but come on. Jason Taylor or Charlie Anderson? I hope they didn't screw that one up. Let's hope Wake improves.

I'm not as worried about Anderson being a starter. In fact, I thought he was at least as good as Porter was last year when he filled in as the starter for the game Porter was suspended. I actually expect that Anderson will man one of the starter positions. I think we'll either see Wake as the other starter or Wake as the pass rush LB with Misi and Moses platooning on the other downs (although I do think Misi will end up ahead of Moses by the end of the year).

Nolan has shown a tendency in the past to use his LBs as specialists so the designation of "starter" may be less important. I expect that Anderson, Wake and Misi will be the main contributors at OLB with Moses providing depth and taking up some snaps.

As an adjunct, I expect that Dansby, Crowder and Dobbins will be the main contributors at ILB with AJ Edds providing depth and taking up some snaps.
