Then you start to feel him once and then he jumps out again and you feel him again. Then you go back to the film and you really watch this guy and you see that he's been playing pretty consistent. That's happened to me in the last couple weeks, really this week with a few guys. There's a young kid out there right now that I'm starting to feel and it's Titus Brown. I've seen him kind of do some things in the last couple days that have piqued my interest that way."

Brown, 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, was a four-year letterman at Mississippi State and started 30 of the 44 games he played, 23 over his last two seasons. He finished his career with 170 tackles, 18.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. As a senior he recorded eight sacks, 43 tackles (13.5 for loss) and was named second-team All Southeastern Conference, and this Saturday night at Jacksonville could be his time to shine.

Man thats exciting news to hear about Jake. The guy is going to be a gamer, even more so, I haven't felt this strongly about a first round pick outside of Ronnie in a long time.

We're on the right path. Couple more Jakes at other positions and the playoffs will once again be happing in Miami. And all i can think is "Its about damn time"

The Dolphins have been attempting to trade John Beck recently, and profootballtalk.com got an "unconfirmed tip" that Beck has been cut.

The Palm Beach Post reported that Beck practiced earlier Thursday, so he obviously was a member of the team then, and this report may be jumping the gun. Either way, it's clear the Parcells regime has little use for Beck, who turns 27 next week. He'll get a second chance, but his "prospect" status has dimmed considerably.

The Dolphins' PR staff wouldn't confirm or deny a report Thursday morning that John Beck has been released.

We should have some answers shortly. Beck began training camp as the Fins' slight favorite to start, but he's clearly become a forgotten man in Miami.

Dolphins coach Tony Sparano denies a report that John Beck is on the verge of being released.

Beck practiced Thursday morning and readied himself for afternoon work afterwards. He may see no snaps in Saturday's preseason game if he's still on the roster. Chad Pennington and Chad Henne figure to play extensively.
