Just wondering if anyone can give me the skinny on this kid? He played football at a high school near my hometown, but I've been out of the loop the last few years. I just caught a little glimpse of him on YouTube. He's #50:

Basically, all I know is he won the 2010 Conerly Award (best collegiate football player in Mississippi). He is also playing in this year's Sr. Bowl (Bio: HERE).

Can anyone help fill in the blanks?

    Thanks in advance!

Chris is a big, strong, athletic linebacker who has good instincts and plays sideline to sideline. He's very good on the blitz as well. He'd be a good get for Miami and would easily replace Channing Crowder's stupid ***.

You like him more than I do. I think he's average.

Was hoping you would chime in on him. I agree with you on his blitzing. From the little I have seen, he seems to have a knack for it. I thought that he shed blocks decently (again, very little vid), but thought he had issues in traffic. Looks fast enough. Seems pretty tough. I have to pull for him being that he played on the coast, although, he played for that "other" university. :tongue2:

In what round do you realistically see him getting taken?

    Thanks, KB.

He's probably a 4th or 5th round guy right now, but when he runs at the combine, some folks are going to fall in love with him. I've heard that Chris will run in the 4.6 range.

Really? That's pretty good for a guy his size. Should help his stock. I'm anxious to see his ability to change direction. I'll definitely keep my eye on him.....

When Mario Harvey, or Thumper, as he was called at Marshall runs a 4.4 for a LB then we will hear the ooh's and aah's.

Kind of like when Patrick Willis ran a 4.39 at his Pro Day? Just to prove it wasn't a fluke (and against his agent's advice), he ran it again. His time? 4.38!
