This is not a complaint....I am verry happy with the win...We are 1-0 and alos 1-0 in the AFC and also 1-0 in the AFC East....These are all important come playoff tie-breaker time
My question
Why did Sparano call a timeout with 21 seconds left in the first half....Fasano does not get the first down so we all know we are kicking....Most coaches call that timeout with 3 seconds left....By calling that timeout the Bills had a crack with that 60+ yard field goal attempt....So the way I see Sparano could have directly cost us 3 points
Also the wind yesterday must of been crazy and the announcers said sweet **** all about it.....On Buffalo's 4th-11 play they were down by 10 points and looked to be in field goal range.....I was actually very happy(until they converted) they gambled instead of kicking the field goal and being down by 7

The TO was poor clock mamangement imo , something that has troubled this coaching staff before , and it looks like it still is , unfortunately.
Maybe Tony needs a time out guy to buzz him or get in his ear ( slightly kidding ).
I wondered about the wind with the deep kickoffs, out of bounds , poor punt , but as nothing was said on the broadcast , I kind of let that settle. Henne's pass to Marshall may have also been affected by wind. -
He also mentioned that Carpenter wouldn't of had that booming touchback kick off without the help of the wind either.RickyNeverInhaled and dolfan22 like this. -
I was thinking the same thing about the time management. I'm really not sure what they were thinking. Coach really needs to work on his time management, if this were the Colts, we'd probably be cursing it for costing us the game.

What I don't understand is why don't the Dolphins (or any other team) appoint a clock management coach to handle this type of strategy? I think it would be relatively easy to come up with such a strategy in advance.
You could then take the clock resposibility away from the head coach to reduce the chance of costly errors.texanphinatic likes this. -
I thought I saw where the special teams coach called the timeout. Or am I mistaken?

The wind was crazy yesterday.

They obviously gave it a thought or two to go for it on 4th down. Fasano was about 4 yards shy of the first down and after they took the time out, the offense stayed on the field for a bit until finally Carpenter came in. Apparently, they wanted some time to think it through.

When Gus Johnson and Steve Tasker are calling a Bills game (or any game for that matter, but especially Bills), watching with the tv on MUTE would be just as informative.

My thought on the timeout was that if you have a bad snap you have time for another shot at it. Am I wrong?

It was 4th down -
I didn't know why they called timeout but I had assumed that Buffalo would've called it anyway. We won't ever know if the Bills would have called timeout or not so it's kind of a moot point.

Sparano needs to get better at this
Another question
How did we get the ball in the 3rd quarter and the wind in the 4th. I know we had the second half option. Did we take the ball and then Buffalo took the wind in the 3rd instead of the 4th???
Seemed to be bad decisions on both sides
