I was outside the means of watching so I didn't get a chance to see the game. So can someone fill me in on what happened?

No no no.
We were losing, we tied, we started losing, started losing even more...tried coming back, ending up getting in to a deeper hole.
In 2nd half pat comes out, and gets KTFOD.
All of a sudden, somehow, we are withing 3 (i think, right?) and then we throw 2 picks, on back to back drives, and on the play where defense makes the stop we get the ball, they give up a 13 yard run.BuckeyeKing likes this. -
how is that different than we sucked and lost?

Because it has that 6 awesome minutes there where we thought we werent going to suck and lost before we ended up sucking and losing. That 6 minutes took 3 hours off my life.Colorado Dolfan, TheAnswer385, FinsPensFan and 2 others like this.

same thing with just about every game this season.we played 30 minutes of great football and the other 30 minutes of pop warner.but as far as the game itself..a one armed qb beat us along with a step up of their running game.and it boggled me because it seemed even though ben was hurt we did nothing to adjust picking up the run game.we got pushed around like a bunch of girls.we tightened up in the middle but was too little too late.

Found a good little QB in Tyler Thigpen, moves and throws very well for a cat his size..he almost became a cult hero overnight, but crushed us wiith an illadvised throw.
Pat white showed to me that the staff needs to train him like some of us have suggested from the moment he was drafted, strictly within the wildcat, in a varity of roles. WCQX..
There was a very weird moment in the game when Pat was under center, it was almost like some in the stadium were thinking this kid is gonna get hurt, there was just a weird energy, and sure enough, he got knocked out.
Lousaka Polite has now become a true dolphin, and we'll be here to host the trophy one day.
we need to draft 4 linebackers in april..because were hurtin man {were old, slow, and unathletic]. defense let up again when it had to stop them...m ino and BuckeyeKing like this. -
It exposed the fact that Pat White was not a NFL player and that our defense needs a number of new better players.
Thigpen showed he was a decent OB even without ever getting any snaps in practice and our defense showed that it could not stop anyone when it needed to.BuckeyeKing likes this. -
the main problem I had with watching Thigpen is this was his 3rd year in the leagues and he threw two horrendous interceptions. The first one especially. This was his MO coming from Kansas City. He was wild, he could move the ball but was prone to turnovers. I can give him somewhat of a pass for being thrown into a crazy situation where he wasnt expecti ng to play but his situational awareness is a cause for concern. He has some skills though and is exciting to watch. I hope he is able to reign in his make a play every play impulses

Considering that Thigpen had zero reps in practice I think he did pretty well. He had to come in and score TD's without knowing his players/WRs and was under a very hard pass rush.
If our defense had stopped the Steelers when they were backed up we could have still won the game.
If we had play Thigpen right after Henne was hurt instead of wasting downs and time with White we really had a chance to win the game.
But all in all it was probably best that we lost. We would not have went far into the Play Offs and we got a better draft pick.BuckeyeKing likes this. -
meh he made a couple really ill advised throws.his performance albiet short and spur reminded me alot of jake plummer in that this kid will make you say "where'd he come from" then turn around say "wth was that".it wasnt a performance that made me think we have a #1 qb comp but deffinately moved past white(in my book)as someone to give more reps to.
i do have to say i love his ellusiveness and footwork..the guy can sure move.BuckeyeKing and djphinfan like this. -
I can sum it up in two words: It sucked and it was pretty much the same crap you saw for most of the season.
Ok..so I was off on my word count.BuckeyeKing likes this. -
the team had henne fake an eye injury after the first half
pat white came in ran for his life
bounced a few off the turf
and left on a stretcher
tyler thigpen mopped up gave us hope
played well really consideringBuckeyeKing likes this. -

Tyler Thigpen should have started right when Henne decided to exercise his eyes from the sideline. Pat White did absolutely nothing and left on a stretcher.

Thigpen made some pretty big plays, I love his athleticism. Then again that careless pick in the red zone cost us the victory. But without him we would have been blown out. In the end a loss is a loss so I guess it depends on how you look at it.

Call me nuts, but the reason White went in instead of Thigpen was because White was being show-cased. The Dolphins realize they must bite the bullet on this ill-advised early draft pick so they were hanging him out there for other teams to see what he got. It back-fired so now we must face the fact we waisted a draft pick on a guy who WILL NEVER BE A STARTING QB IN THE NFL. I`ll be shocked, not surprised, but shocked if White is on our roster next season. The experiment failed, time to move on. It`s not Whites fault,I actually admire his guts but its not enough to win games in this league.
Remember John Beck? You know, the guy who I said will be shown the door in a blink of an eye? I was bashed for that statement by many who wanted to give him more time. Well, befor long, White will be escorted to that very same door.BuckeyeKing likes this.
