Well proof positive who kept the pipeline to lineman cut by Dallas that were not very good anymore. Lets guess now who it is, Hmmmmm, not Tony, he is gone. Hmmmmm, who does that leave, Hmmmm. Personally speaking, I think Tony took a lot of flack for stuff he had no control over.

Hmmmm..
Let's see...
How many free agent guards are there available? How many of them have started their entire career thus far? I know we have looked at one other guard who has started... Does this mean that we should not ever, never, at any time, begin to consider the vaguest possibility of investigating whether or not an available free agent starter at any position should ever be looked at if they came from or anywhere near Dallas? This is the first one from Dallas we have looked at this year if I am not in error.
Offhand, it would appear that there is some gun jumping to blame Ireland for something else in the offing... -

I absolutely love the responses, love it. If Tony was still coach there would be bedlam on this board. Kosier is an upgrade over no one on this offensive line. The team is looking for bargains, lets face it. Outside of the draft they are not spending a nickel more then they have to. Available guards someone asked ? If I can check it out so can you. There are many available guards still availbe with more then a few a lot better and younger the Kosier but hey, ignorance is bliss I guess when it comes to Irelands plan.

The way you guys are defending Ireland you would think this wasn't the same guy who signed Marc Colombo without even giving Bryant McKinnie a sniff last year. Mining Dallas castoffs hasn't produced results yet and I doubt it's about to start now.

Okay... just for drill.
There are from the site I visited 19 free agent guards left.
Their ranking shows him 7th on that list of the remaining 19.
The top ranked guard on the list of those remaining is Jake Scott - who we have contacted and with whom, last I heard, we are still negotiating.
The next is Vernon Carey.
Bobbie Williams is 35, will be 36 at the beginning of the season.
Montrae Holland is from Dallas....Scratcho Guardo!!!! Wrongo Teamo!
Next - Eric Steinbach - who missed last season with back surgery.
Then Jacob Bell - who missed a chunk of last season with a MCL, and is probably not going to be back at full speed, if at all.
Next is Kyle Kosier....
To paraphrase Elrond.."Our list of possibilities grows thin."
Besides, it may all be a tactic to light a fire under Scott and his agent.

I just think the 'played for Dallas' thing is way overplayed... -

As far as Bell goes, you are correct. Rams cut him before camp last season then resigned him for half the amount. Another guard that has no visits lined up that I can see or heard of. I admit mostof those guys are an upgrade over what we had and still believe Scott wants to sgn here but there is no money available to give him what he wants. We have cook and Feinga, meh, to both of them. Garner ? honestly not sure what he could do. Murtha at OT, I was down on him as much as anyone else but in the kids behalf, he really did a a better then decent pre season last year then got hurt. Can't Satele play guard ? -
i'll kill the dallas pipeline when quincy carter or john kitna come to town..until then, yawn
