another interesting tidbit I didnt know...

So perhaps Peterson is replacing Joe Bailey on the business side and Jeff Ireland probably lobbied for him.

Wouldn't surprise me, just keep Peterson the heck away from Parcells, to me the two of them have a bit of a a Napolean Complex and would not get along..at all.

As for Peterson the Ex Football Guy, I thought hiring Herm Edwards was his largest mistake, and sticking with Trent Green to long was not the best decision either, but the Chiefs were competitive until the last 2-3 years.

As long as he has nothing to do with football personnel decisions, I can live with it.

I really feel for Vermeil not being able to win it all with the Cheifs, but they never improved on defense, they became a lopsided football team like the Rams did after he left. Remember the 99 Rams had a pretty good D.

And when you put all of your eggs in the Offensive basket, when Priest Holmes got knocked out along with T Green...they were sunk..

I like Dick V, but man, that dude could cry over darn near anything...sheesh..

Last Draft Peterson did a fine job for the Chiefs, he got a LT and a #1 Cb who both can play football at a high level from Day 1.

i never really thought it was all one guys fault there. They never really seemed to have all the pieces fitting together. They always seemed to be missing a few things. They were lopsided on offense with Vermeil/Saunders running the show, and now theyre a flat team with Herm Edwards, who brings no creativity to the playbook on either side. They reversed under Herm by emphasizing defense and then regressed on both side in doing so.

Ive got a great role in mind for Peterson. He can restock the stadium restrooms with toilet paper. If he tries to do anything else, Bill Parcells gets to zap him with a cattle prodder.

And if he does get hired in Miami. I think all of our fans should get to line up and slap him across the face for being such an a-hole with the Trent Green trade last year.

I don't like his role in any capacity, should Ross ever question what parcells is doing or petterson says "why is bill doing that" then they have an out, as Peterson would already be within the organization. I don't like him in miami one bit, in any capacity. He will always think he coudl do better and i'm sure he'll let ross know about it.

I like the idea that Gish has, let him fill toilet paper and let parcell's zap him. Yes thats it, i vote for that.

A positive that may come from Carl Peterson is that he may be able to get more out of teams when trading. That could go against us as well though, because he is not going to just take what he can get. He demands a certain price and if you fail to pony up to it, its a see ya later.

he delayed Trent Green's imminent release and then blackballed the dolphins to get a draft pick out of him which we of course got suckered into as always

If Peterson takes baileys job then iam all for it, dont like that guy never have, If Peterson wants to work on the developement around the stadium iam all for it, his first job shoud be enclosing the stadium more to create a louder crowd, which will create a better experience for the fans, which will make them louder, which will motivate are players to play harder, which will create more victories, which will put more money in ross's pockets.

Exactly. He was an excellent negotiator for his client, the KC Chiefs. He "won" that negotiation.

He also gave up a second rounder for Surtain, which seemed to be market value, but we had to fight like hell to get that draft pick. Don't hate him cause he's effective.

How many regimes are as stupid as Miami's past regimes?

He screwed KC out of a pick with Tony G because he's a dumbass.

Given he has been in the business for awhile and built the team he helped build, I'm going to say there has been some before in the past............

Hmmm well he had 6 of 7 playoff appearences in 1990 -97. And the last time they were in the playoffs was 2006 I believe. Not to sure you can straight call that unsuccessful, except in the postseason

I want Parcells to stay as much as the next guy but Petersen did a hell of a job with KC for most of his tenure. He was there too long. When you stay one place long enough you're going to have rough patches, it's the way the league works.

KC was consistently a top team in the 90's. Yes, Marty failed in the playoffs but they were between 10-13 wins every year.

KC has a a good amount of young talent on both sides of the ball.
