Good point on the pro-style offense. I definitely won't hold my breath, just saying he can't do much till he makes it on the field. I think you have to throw him out there and let him sink or swim.
I wish he'd get more of a chance than he got last year. If he scores 3-5 TDs this year with 300-400 yrds recieving, we may have someone who could really develop into a great player.
I'm getting awful sick of hearing about the "potential" of all our WR. I don't want a FIRST ROUND PICK SPENT ON A wr BUT i WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HEAR ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE GUYS, NOT THE POTENTIAL. Dangflabbit I hate that fart knockin caps lock button! The only performing WR we have is an undrafted player from Hawaii. There is something way wrong with that.
life is all about potential, expectation & development would be a mistake to sell either Pat short they are #2 draft choices & both have potential. if the expectation is there, the coaching & opportunity will accompany the expectation, not everything comes to us a finished product. development: have to coach them up & play them in real time
Ship Pat Turner to Seattle for a 3rd or 4th or 5th. One more year on non-production and nobody will give anything for Pat Turner.
on Pat White: the guy knows football & is a hell of an athlete wouldn't sell him short: he can play WR, Slot, run the WildCat, UnconventionalOffense & be there in an emergency @ QB be a scat back, run reverse options, return kicks hold kicks (w/the ever present treat of running or passing) I believe he will find a way to contribute to the Franchise in a meaningful way Patrick White is a complete & very talented player the team will utilize him effectively in 2010 on Pat Turner: most WR need 2or 3 years to come into their own the guy didn't play a down a last year. coaching? he has the credentials, the hands, the size & potential wouldn't be too quick to relegate him to bust status could become our next Orande Gadsden & RedZone threat
