Kicker's have fans? I think it's more plausible to assume he has a really really big family. Ronnie looks like a lock. Brick is catching up with Jake.
to think we go from 1-15 with one consistent pro bowler in Jason Taylor(Zach Thomas never gets the love), to possibly three on offense and Joey Porter likely replacing Jason Taylor on our defensive pro-bowlers, this is quite an achievement.
i doubt he'll make it though, fan voting is 1/3rd of the process but no way i see him getting many player/coaching votes over Bironas or Gostkowski
How many 50+ yarders has Carpenter kicked? He's money on anything up to 45, but lacks the long leg of a Bironas or Josh Brown.
I'll be very surprised if Carpenter makes it. I would imagine that the two locks are Brown and Porter and that Bell, Will Allen and maybe Jake Long have outside chances. Chad Pennington will be unlucky not to get the nod. Brown will get in mainly because of it being such a down year for AFC backs with regards injuries and because of the noteriety of the Wildcat.
I think someone like Janikowski will make it as the Raider's don't have a lot else going for them other than their kicker and their D-Back, whose name I cannot spell (Nhamdi.....).
hey, good for him! That'd be cool if he made it! Montana kid... goes to the NFL in Miami... then a free trip to Hawaii... talk about moving up the world!
He will be a lock for the Pro Bowl after he kicks the game winning field goal with 2 seconds left against the Jets to send the Phins to the playoffs.... 52 yarder, Dolphins down 2 Please god make this dream come true.
