The Dolphins announced on Wednesday that Leonte Carroo has been promoted from the practice squad. He will take the place of wide receiver Albert Wilson, who will avoid surgery on his injured hip but could not avoid a trip to injured reserve. Carroo was a Dolphins third-round pick in 2016, but, as his presence on the practice squad attests, hasn’t developed as hoped over the last few years. He had 10 catches for 98 yards and a touchdown over 28 games the last two seasons. The Dolphins have ruled out Kenny Stills for Thursday, which leaves Carroo, Danny Amendola, Jakeem Grant and DeVante Parker to fill the receiver spots on offense this weekend.
If there was ever a time for Parker to "turn it around" here in Miami this is the game. If he does not "show up" I would look at just out right cutting him if I were the coach.
It seems Carroo has more value on special teams, so he got the nod. I'm clinging to a slim hope that Parker decides to show up for this game, but it will probably be Amendola, Grant, and Drake that carry the passing game. I suppose Gesicki could have a good game too. None of that matters if the defense is a no show again, like they were versus the Lions. We'll know soon enough.
Yeah cant say im thrilled with it being Carroo either, was hoping to see Ford on the field. I hope Gesicki turns it up some more too. But yeah, do we have any defense left at all? Pathetic showing against Detroit.
