From what I've read, we are very interested in adding him but the article mentioned that he had to be in playing shape and the money would have to work out. Several teams are looking at him so I hope he signs on the dotted line today.
I'm curious about some actions we might take relative to this potential signing. 1) Will we wait until we get down to a 53 man roster before we try to sign him? 2) Will other interested teams wait until the cut down to a 53 man roster? 3) Will we trade away someone to make room for him? 4) Will we drop someone to make room for him? 4) Who will that someone be? 5) Are we allowed to carry less than a 53 man roster without being in conflict with some NFL requirement?
1. No 2. No 3. No 4a. Yes 4b. One of the 2 kickers we currently have on our roster? 5. I don't know, I would assume it's ok but why? This provides no advantage when spending someone else's money.
