I think this guy could fit in real well competing for the number 3 CB job with Will Allen. Allen is a question mark and may not last the whole season and this guy is real solid competition to keep Sean Smith and VD working.
No offense to either of our young Cbs but if you put Johnathon Joseph on this team he is the #1 CB. He is a very solid. We don't need to make a splash at this position, I believe we are set for years.
I'd take him opposite VD over Smith. I don't think he is #1 material and with Asomugha, Cromartie, Taylor out there I don't think he will be getting #1 money. Regardless, I don't think we can rely on Allen to play a full season and I don't want to see a guy like Benny Sapp out there as our fallback option.
He is ranked as the number 2 free agent this year...yes he is, and will be a nice fall back in the Nmandi sweepstakes for some teams....I take this cat all day over Cro....
Wow. Just wow. Joseph will be signing a contract with a team that is willing to pay him #1 / #2 CB money. My point is that this guy will get paid and we shouldn't be wasting that much in cap space on a position where we have a decent amount of depth already.
I'll take Taylor over Cro and Joseph. I don't think we are as deep as some people think here and with the schedule we got, we are going to need some top notch DB play. Pats, Chargers, and Texans. You trust VD and SS to take care of these guys? TE's ****ed us up last year.
Strong possibility. He's coming off an injury and getting up there in years. Should Henne get injured, he'd look good in aqua.
If we don't end up signing any of the other big names out there, then I'd much rather spend the money on a top tier guy like Joseph rather than sign 2 or 3 mediocre guys who probably wouldn't start.
I get what you are saying, but Miami has to allocate the money they have elsewhere....like you know...finding another RB, and a guy who can throw the ball...not to mention if they fix anything in the secondary, safety is the issue...
We've got cap space. I'd upgrade DBs over any other position besides RB on our team. We aren't getting a QB that will be anything better than Henne in this FA. So many 3rd and long conversions last year and the reason was DBs. We'll get our RB. My guess would be resigning Brown. I don't see Bradshaw getting away from the Giants and I don't think it's worth it to pay out on DeAngelo for what will likely be his last decent contract. I don't want Bush or Sproles.
There is mutual sincere interest in Bradshaw.....I think they are gonna get him....and I am agreeing with you that I think Joesph is better than Smith....I just dont see Miami pulling that trigger, however I wouldnt be upset if they did either....
By "they" you mean the Giants? What triggers are we supposed to pull in FA? The major needs are RB, DBs, and OL depth in my opinion. I don't think we need much else on defense.. the front 3 should be a solid rotation with Soliai coming back. Edds is coming in who might be able to add depth to an already solid LB corps. Those 3rd down and longs are what killed us all year.
Dolphins.....I think their is alot of mutual interest between the 2.....I listen to the FAN on the way home from work, and they were talking about how Miami are the frontrunners over the Giants....if Miami wants him, they could have him....
right with Edds, and Odrick coming back...Misi in his 2nd year...they need another Wake...a surefire pass rush guy, from the other side...
Francesa is saying that? I think he's just using Miami to make the Giants squirm. He has a good thing going with Jacobs as a 2 back duo.
yup...Franny isnt a rumor spreading type of dude though, he is a pretty straight shooter....I can see him staying, but if he makes it to FA, then I think the deal gets done....
LULZ...sign Johnathan Joseph to come in and compete for the #3 CB job. Thank God football is back. I've missed this.
