Better question is, does Jason Allen even sniff the field at this point?

 

Damn that blows but Joey Thomas? They couldn't bring in a free agent like Fernando Bryant. The one positive is Jason Allen will likely be getting a lot more play time.

 

With the way he was playing this year, I'm surprised he wasn't cut.

So does Jason Allen become a starter at CB now?

 

Goodman starts now I would think. Jason Allen would be splitting time with Nathan Jones. Joey Thomas becomes the 5th I believe.

 

Regardless of what happens this season, I think it is safe to say that our priorities defensively this offseaosn will be

a: re-sign Channing Crowder

b: shore up the defensive backfield via free agency/draft

 

Sooner or later they're going to run out of excuses and players and HAVE to put Jason Allen on the field.

Parcells doesn't want to pay Law the money he is looking for... I'm guessing he got Thomas for 1/10th the price of Law (of course maybe 1/10th the talent as well)

Law also said he wants to play for a SB contender, we do not fit that as of yet.

 

Yeah, let's wait on Crowder... I like the guy but he really isn't a playmaker. If there is someone else available in FA we should consider it unless he really picks it up the second half of the season.

When it happened live I thought it was dirty. London hit the guy after Ginn was almost 5 yards out of bounds.

If I'm not mistaken Will Allen plays the nickel or slot when we are in that package so Lehan came in as the corner on those packages

So I guess Jason Allen has his chance now. It will be interesting to see if he plays the slot or the corner. I think he plays the corner but I would rather see him in the slot where he could use his hands to pick of a pass or 2

 

I don't think re-signing Crowder is going to be as big a priority as you might think...while he's playing well, he still tends to disappear in games...He just doesn't make that many big plays and he's playing a position that is expected to make some big plays...

I really hope that Goodman doesnt start over Jasen. Yes Goodman has alot more playing time but he doesnt have the size to be a starting corner. Evertime he is put up with a physical reviever he gets beat week in and week out. Jason is just as fast, more physical, better jumper and is taller and heavier. He is out best option and we are not taking advantage.
