Jamar Taylor can't seem to stay on the field. Is it worth looking at Jennings for secondary help/depth? Plus he has post-season experience, which would be helpful.

Personally, I think we should be considering everyone and anyone at CB at this point. I have no faith in Will Davis, not much in Jamar Taylor either because of his inability to stay healthy, and we haven't seen enough to even know if he can play. After that, we really don't have much to work with. If he's a system fit, and I'm not familiar enough with him to know if he is or not, it's something that I hope we would at least consider.

Agreed. I've no familiarity with him either. Don't know if any of the football encyclopaedias on here have some insight to share?

The guys on Sirius NFL radio yesterday afternoon were talking about him a bit. They didn't suggest us as a potential home for him. They described him primarily as a cover 2 type corner, who has struggled to adjust to Chicago's new defense. They also suggested Tampa as a good place for him to land potentially because Lovie Smith is there. Those two were together when Jennings was having his most success.

That's about all I've got on him. Aside from the opinion he's not going to be a pro-bowler if we did sign him, and he wont completely transform this defense if we did sign him. He'd probably be just a guy here, like everyone else on the depth chart at CB aside from grimes.

I would wait for the cut to the 53 before I start shopping. Better players will be released at that point.

Tim Jennings is garbage. I get to see plenty of him here in Chicago. He just can't cut the mustard anymore.

Which is why he was cut, not traded.

I'd rather sign Sam Madison or Troy Vincent. Maybe pick up Zach Thomas to help out at LB.
