http://www.cfl.ca/article/nbc-sports-network-to-showcase-cfl-in-2013 Excellent! As I look at the schedule, it strikes me they are wise to not go head to head with NCAA (Saturdays) and the NFL (Sun/Mon/Thurs) for the most part. BC is the most NFL like team, followed by Calgary, then maybe Toronto. NBC sports network is the same one that broadcast NHL games this year.
Has Chris Williams reported to Camp yet? IMO, he should have just played out this season, if he could duplicate his results it would go a long way for him when he tried to land a NFL deal. To me, the league is wiide open this season, BC looks good but that means squat.
BC/Toronto on the 30th looks the most promising Deej, tbh the best games this year will be: BC v Calgary Hamilton v Toronto No BC v Saskatchewan though, that is always always a war, the Riders acquired the CFL version of Jerry Rice in Geroy Simon in a intra division trade with BC but..Riders still look not strong, even with a HUGE fanbase. Montreal w/o Trestman as HC will be interesting, Calvillo is just the man in the CFL but the Al's are in flux atm For an NFL fan, watch BC's defence, Rich Stubler is sort of the Buddy Ryan of the CFL, just a master of Defence, we shall many concepts he uses in the NFL this year..the zone read is nothing new in the CFL
He's messing up, even if he breaks his CFL deal, which he won't, his max is the NFL minimum about 425k...IF he is signed..his max signing bonus is 75k and mTC's are over and the CFL season is about to start. That's just plain stupid
9pm on NBCSports channel, CFL kicks off with Wpg vs Montreal. Wpg does not promise to be very good this year however.
Entertaining game last evening. Tonight's BC vs Calgary game is the one I'm looking forward to though.
No, this one: Now that's just funny. He's sitting out this year, dumb decision on his part. He's turned into a game breaking player in the CFL scoring 20 Td's or so the last two years, but lost an arbitration case trying to make him a FA one yr early and now is just not playing Do think CFL players who can make the jump the NFL have an excellent anti trust case with the NFL's signing bonus cap of 76k for their services.
Is Noel Devine any good in CFL? Ever heard of a guy named Chavon Walker? Went to high school around the same time these two were local stars.
Devine has just started playing for Montreal this yr, he sort of bounced around last yr. Walker is sort of in the same boat, he scored 4 td's last yr: He'll probably play more this year.
Good game on ESPN2 tonight, BC v Eskimos, Reily the esks Qb is young enough to still be an NFL prospect and played in BC before being traded to Edmonton this offseason.
Interestingly, Aaron Maybin signed with the Argos To me, makes perfect sense, what he has to understand is this is not about $$$, it's about making yourself the BEST you can be...to me Toronto is not optimal, to many distractions
