I was talking about the way it works with human nature. He gave an answer that makes him look weak. Those out for his blood will now go on the attack more, since they believe they have gotten to him.

And just because I complain on this board, it doesn't mean I condone or approve of the behavior some fans showed the other night. Doesn't mean I don't understand it, I do - they are frustrated - but I don't think that is the way to do it.

Good, maybe this will mae you play better. I'm tired of having subpar qbs Henne can either step up in camp and play good this year or keep hearing chants and lose his job as a starter .

I don't understand why the Jests fans and organization get behind their guy(Sanchez) (who has been worse, both actually and statistically)..and our fans and organization are ruining our guy's career. He showed promises his first time out. He took a step back last year. Can't we just give him any little mental advantage that we can and say "here ya go, the team is yours...go make it happen." I mean, at least TRY to help him succeed.

At least let him fail this way.

I've lived here for a lot of years, and over the past few have seen a changing of the guard in Phandom. I used to go to the Pub, and there were many long time true fans, and great discussion and debate. We even had our own version of Jovial Jake to pick on. LOL

Over the last couple of years, I see more people with more money but, little knowledge. and even less patience. They are only happy in bashing players. When Long is brought up, he cost us Ryan. When Wake is brought up, he had one good year and will be gone next season.

I know the economy here has had a whole lot to do with it but, DAMN it is frustrating.

Agreed, can we all just throw Henne on the heap of useless Michigan QBs and move on? It seems since Marino, with the exception of Pennington, there has been a void under center.

If I'm Henne, and just got done spending my own time and money to lead player workouts with Long, and get this from "so called fans" I would be livid and saying GFY (which, as we all know, means Good For You :))

Sanchez has taken plenty of heat. People seem to think he has a higher ceiling than Chad Henne so that could be a reason. It's also seemed like he generally became more efficient and threw less picks as the season wore on. His postseason ratings are good even though they didn't ask a ton of him. Those are probably some reasons why they are easier on him. QBs get more credit than they deserve and take more blame usually. Sanchez is on a playoff team and Henne is on a team that collapsed last December.

Because Henne was overrated coming out of college. Anyone looks good throwing to 2 future NFL receivers in Breaston and Manningham.

Yes, plenty of QBs suck that have been under Andy Reid.

You would have to ask a Jets fan. If Sanchez were our QB, I'd be saying he's bad.

But again, this is just my opinion. Its OK to think Henne is a good QB. Theres nothing wrong with saying "I think he'll be great this year". Just don't blame everyone but Henne when he doesn't perform well.

That is not true, if he starts winning games and puts the team in playoff contention then the boos will stop.

That home opener will either be Chad Henne's biggest win, or it could be his biggest loss. So much is riding on that 1st game.

I don't think I'd say "ruining his career," but I would say they're not helping very much. I don't think positive response from fans has ever hurt anyone...Isn't that part of the reason you would normally prefer home games?

Our fans would've tried driving out Eli Manning and Drew Brees too. Just because it shouldn't affect a player, doesn't make it wholly right.

I don't think he's good, let alone great. But I have a sliver of hope still based off 2 seasons ago, that he can turn it around some. I just think this poop storm is not helping the guy we are inevitably stuck with for 2011.

You don't get it. Happy Hour had 10-12 "so called fans" going to practice just to boo Henne. It was an event, and I'm sure there were many others with the same intent. Guarantee it.
