Prove to me the Commish was antagonized. Of course you would. You're clearly an overly serious and humorless person hellbent on making the world blah. You're Captain Gray..."Here I come to Meh the day"
Ok, you grumpy buzz killers, let's take a look at what kind of relationship Goodell & Chad have: Link There. Can we drop the dumping in Easter baskets now?
So you don't mind guys who talk Sh&$ who haven't done anything but get owned for two years, just got cut, and is joining OUR team?. I'm sorry Fin, I'm really trying to see your POV, which I always have the highest regard for,but I can't do it, it's punkish to me.
I've already answered this Deej. If its a rookie, no. This is 85. This is who he is. This is who he has always been. Some guys transcend the game, sometimes its for skill (Michael Jordan, Marino) sometimes its for personality (85, Rodman) and sometimes its for both (Ali). Chad is who he is. Fact is when he's silly he plays better.
You will not enjoy this. This will not be over quickly. (FTR, since there are SOME people <cough...stringer, ck, etc...cough> who have no sense of humor and don't understand trash talk, I'd like to explain I don't plan on actually giving DJ an enema.)
No, I like to consider my sense of humor above that of a 6th grade level. "Hey Goodell, I'm going to get in so much trouble OMG LULZ!"..."FU NFL LOL"...just doesn't do it for me.
That's all good. Please explain why its important for a football player to have the same sense of humor as you. Again, 85 and Goodell have a really good relationship and can apparently joke between each other....unless it doesn't appeal to you I guess.
Oh, see I thought this whole time you thought it was bad cause it was going to get Chad in trouble and hurt the team.
I doubt Goodell agrees with you, which is what it's important. He calls him dad for goodness sake, he knows CJ is joking around.
Goodell knows this circus already, he's not shocked by any of this, if this was our Rookie? Sure, I'd be worried. Goodell isnt dumb, Ochocinco creates drama, creates news, sells merchandise/endorsements/commercials for his NFL.....he's not going to get worked up about a tweet, specifically a statement ochocinco has SAID before....this isnt new.
Well, I think it could. He's had 15 yd celebration penalties before. I'm sure if he's doing enough to rack up fines, he'll be toeing the line of getting those penalties.
Hypothetically. As of now, he has done nothing but tweet a joking statement hes made before to Goodell, who understands his humor, and likes Chad.
How's Chad Henne doing? Remember when he used to play for us and passed a ball to Fasano that one time?
Wow, come on people. He is basically just telling Godell that he's going to lite it up this year. I mean he talked about beating his kids on twitter as well, any of you dialing CPS?? People are already trashing Chad, because he didn't have a good couple years in New England. That isn't who he is, I dont see Chad Johnson and Bill Belichek kicking it. I think you see a whole new guy this year.
You know what king I like you and FinD so much, I would like us to share one, just to really get to know one another ya know..
I don't care how much he shoots off his mouth. If he can collect yards on the OTHER side of the 20...Ocho > Marshall.
There was an implication* in my post that I think you missed. And yes, that implication applies to Goodell-directed tweets as well. * Tapdancing around saying something nice about a theoretical Jet
It's getting mad at a tiger because it has stripes, and a leopard for having spots. How are you going to get mad at a tiger for having stripes.
I may be missing it, but don't think he means anything malicious by that statement. I think he means, "I am going to be in the endzone making plays a lot this year."
You went to high school with a guy like this. The class clown. All ego and spirit and antics. A hotdog who made everybody laugh. Teachers, and especially vice-principals, would look down and shake their heads in wonder, working very hard to keep a serious, dignified demeanor and suppress their mirth. On any given game day he might dress up like one of the cheerleaders, outsize fake bust sticking out. His parties were legendary. Chad is this guy, except he's doing it in the NFL. If he puts together a good season while acting up, we will grow to love the guy, as we did in high school.
All the negativity from the media has really got me in "circle the wagons" mode. It's made even more excited for this season. I love it.
"That’s the Chad we know and love.* The loud Chad.* The proud Chad.* The profane Chad.* The Chad who promises to whup your *** and yet never delivers. So welcome back, Chad.* We missed you.* And we’re still waiting for that *** whupping you’ll eventually threaten again and never Deliver." Mike Florio I think it's just adorable that we're just gonna let him him be himself and talk sh&$ before he does anything in our uni, it's like believing in Majic, If you let him talk, the game will follow.. Lol..on a serious note, I do think the player will be productive, nothing I'm saying has anything to do with what I think he can do in this offense..I know he won't be the old Chad on the field, but he's still got something left.
dj, I don't see where you make that statement on. The only thing that's different (or the same as when he was more productive) is that he's making predictions and acting brash in print...he's not shown anything on the field...yet...
Oh believe me, I don't think he is the player he was, he really let his body go at some point around when he started doing reality tv, you can really tell in his legs, especially hamstrings, but, in this offense, runnin the small intermediate stuff, he can still be productive with his skinny ***..lol
