WOW, now that's a good read! If the Ravens game was an abhoration this team will be in the hunt if they play consistently from here out...
Any article that praises the Dolphins and slams the jets is a great article! I said it before and I'll say it again: We should extend Pennington's contract. Today. Chad Henne and John Beck should every opportunity to win the starting QB gig, but they should have to beat out Pennington in order to do it. By the way, how crazy would it be if Penny went to the Pro Bowl in a Miami helmet? Philip Rivers is the only AFC QB with a higher passer rating than Penny.
It's been a longgg time since we got this much respect with the media. Heck, that guy Tim Graham from ESPN is practically in love with the Fins and wrote a similar article comparing Pennington to Favre.
Good read, but is it just me or it the title (of the article) all wrong? It says Jet's win QB shell game in the title while the article says the Dolphins win. Confusing...
Great read, thanks! I admit I was sceptical when we signed CP and viewed him as Jay Fiedler type of QB (I respected Jay as a competitor) but clearly I had my J*TS Reject tinted glasses on! Chad has been great for us this year and its been a long time since the QB position wasn't a problem for us!
Nice read, thanks. I questioned this signing at first. I liked it because i thought it would help out our offense, but i didn't like it, because i didnt view pennington as being the guy, and i've always disliked him because he was a jet. However, you cant doubt that he's done wonders for this team with his game management skills and his leadership in the huddle. Great to have him here indeed.
What's striking is how much better Pennington himself is this year compared to last year: Is it because he's healthy? Mad at the Jets? Some other reason?
With respect to the Miami Dolphins 2007 staff, the Jets might have the worst coaching Ive ever seen. Tom Olivadotti and and Dave Wannstedt laugh at their play calling and schemes.
That last statement is enough to gag a buzzard! I think there ought to be a penalty for referring to that particularly offensive defensive coordinator ever again in the hint of the remote possibility of the presence of women and children. Where's my phenergen?
