http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports/content/sports/epaper/2009/06/02/0602stodacol.html I like Pennington's attitude, he is confident in himself, but doesn't put anyone else down in the process.
As Sparano said, it's about winning games in the end, Chad Henne won't displace Pennington unless injury intrudes. Ireland mentioned that Pennington's arm looked stronger due to being healthy the last two seasons, this is going to be fun to watch.
Now that could be scary for other teams' defenses. People keep saying "if only Chad had a stronger arm".........well, if he throws with more velocity this year we could very well avoid that "step back" that some insist we are going to experience.
It won't magically turn into an above average arm, but his legs are healthy and that really does help with velocity and zip on the ball, Ireland mentioned CP was throwing 40yd outs to Ted Ginn. The other guy who may be a bit better this season is Ricky Williams, like Penny this is his second year of working during the full offseason, RW ran great last year but many people don't take into account he hadn't run or been involved in our specialized offseason program, or any offseason program, in 4 yrs before last season. It's like 2002 Nostalgia on our team Late Again, Ricky, JT, Chad Pennington..wow...
I want to see who does what in Training Camp, the rookie Cb's, JT, JP and Wake going up against Carey and Long...I hope there is some video on those battles...
An experienced uber-accurate veteran QB. An up-and-coming cannon armed resculpted second year man (Henne 2.0). A rookie with speed and a strong history of winning in his college career. Am I the only one finally hopeful about the Dolphin QB situation? Where were we at this time last year? McCown, Henne version 1.0, and Beck.
the Pennington Renaissance continues? Chad the Greater is the RealDeal he will not go quietly into the night 2009 is his shot at the big brass ring I think we have the top QB Stable in the country.
