Tell me where i'm wrong here...

Last year we ran the ball at will on everybody in the league. When Ricky and Ronnie were healthy, we controlled games with that run game, as the o-line created gaping holes for them to burst through.

We cut/trade Donald Thomas, Jake Grove, and Justin Smiley. We get rid of 3 interior offensive lineman on a line that dominated when healthy. Simply dominated.

I understand there were concerns with durability, but i also don't see why the hell those changes needed to be made. We had Joe Berger and Pat McQuistan starting yesterday, and i know John Jerry was out..but still.

We had one of the most dominating o-lines in the league. And in my mind, you can point directly at this and say THIS is why the wildcat is dead.

It seems like everyday Jeff Ireland tinkers with the roster, cutting someone resigning someone...somebody please explain why the one of the best o-lines in the league needed to be disbanded.

    You're wrong.

    Justin Smiley - 12 starts
    Jake Grove - 10 starts
    Donald Thomas - 12 starts

Yes, we had a dominant run blocking line last year, all the while our interior starters from game one failed to start in 1/4th of the games.

****, Donald Thomas got benched at the end of last year. Grove looked like a shell of himself in the preseason.

Remind me again which teams have signed Thomas or Grove? Who's brought them in for a workout?

Oh, and Donald Thomas never dominated.

If you think losing those 3 guys this year is the cause of our problems, you're crazy. They would be doing no better here than what we have.

I agree with both of you. Yes, those 3 guys weren't the answer. But it is a valid point that the constant churning of the offensive line has to be creating some consistency issues. Also, McQuistan sucks.
