I wonder what hes hearing. Lots of interesting picks - no QB's in round one (Geno Smith?) while lots of intriguing names creeping into the mid-late first round - Justin Hunter, Eric Reid, Deandre Hopkins, DJ Hayden, Robert Woods, etc. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/mock-drafts/charley-casserly/171001
I really don't understand the love for Fluker. The guy is a RT in the NFL why anyone would be willing to spend an early first for a RT boggles me mind. Reminds me of Phil Loadholt only Loadholt went in round 2.
Casserly is deceptively taking credit for taking Mario Williams before Reggie Bush, when in reality he was pretty much already out and it was mostly a coaching decision to take the stud DE over the stud RB. But good for him.
I don't think Casserly needs to hang his career on Williams - he did his good work at the Redskins and also landed Andre Johnson (arguably the best player selected in the 2003 draft). That said, he's past his time. I don't see the Eifert selection for SF at 31. There is one position that lost them the SB: DB. They need corners and that's what they will go after, imo. And, I'm tired of hearing Rhodes at 12. Unless a guy is clearly the next Revis - I would not want to go CB at 12 for any of these guys. As high as everyone is on Milliner - he was burned a good bit at Bama and that is with a great D otherwise.
Boggles me,mind? Better watch out, cause Casserly is after your lucky charms That out of the way, agree completely with your Fluker statement.
Ahhh, the incredible Irony in this post!!! You suggest the Fruity Niners won't go after a TE cause that's not a position of need, yet you dispose of us going after a CB because..well because it alongside LT is by far our greatest need? If we had finished better and had the 18 over all instead, then would it be okay with you to go after Rhodes? The fact we have the 12 is what it is. It is our first round pick Typically, anything from about 8-22 is an equal pick (Unless you find a trade partner of course) and with this draft, I think anything from about 5-35 is almost equal in weight, not quite, but I think you get the idea. Rhodes wouldn't be my first pick either, but CB most certainly would be at the very top of my draft board, and in that situation, Rhodes might well be by far the most value for us. I'm personally not a huge Rhodes fan, and would much prefer Trufant, but don't discuss how the Fruity Niners are not going to take probably one of the very best draft picks in this draft simply because they need a CB and then come right back and say you wouldn't take a CB at 12. Doesn't make any sense.
...wiping your *** and you accidentally poke through the paper....so basically a mild surprise that just leaves your index finger smelling like ****.
